Additional Information

You have the opportunity to traverse the historical trail utilized by North Korean spies in the 1968 infiltration, preserved in its original state.

Palgakjung Pavilion, situated at the top of Bukhansan Mountain, boasts an admirable prospect of Seoul’s downtown nightlife.

Subsequently, we take a stroll to the Hogyeongam Pavilion. This path is renowned as the Kim Shin Jo Route, named in honor of Kim Shin Jo—the lone North Korean Spy Commando who surrendered. The vestiges of a fierce combat between North and South Korean forces are still evident in the form of bullet marks scattered across rocks and pine trees.

Upon reaching the apex of Hogyeongam, you will be presented with a gorgeous panoramic view of Seoul. The hike from Palakjeong to Hogyeongam spans approximately one hour each way.

Afterward, we transport you to another point on the mountain to undergo a hiking and trekking escapade.

Following this, we convey you to a local traditional marketplace where you can indulge in local delicacies.

Knowledgeable guide, good program, excellent food - As someone who grew up learning about the Korean War in school, it was nice to see some key locations and learn details that were not in the school books. It was very interesting to hear both South and North Korean perspectives through talking with the guide and listening to the story of a North Korean defector.
