Enjoyable Experience - We really enjoyed going through and learning the history of these ancient cities. Fabiana was a fabulous guide. She was very informative and kept things interesting and answered any questions people had.
We preferred Herculaneum as it was better preserved and smaller but it was nice to seem them both in the same day and compare the two.
The lunch was ok, but it was nice to sit and relax for a bit. The restaurant was efficient and moved everything smoothly considering so many tour groups are coming in.

A fabulous day. - There was a lot of walking involved but it was worth it. Our guide was great.....friendly and knowledgable. The lunch was good. I am so glad we booked this trip and would recommend it.
I'm glad we visited both places because they were fascinating and quite different from each other. Having read Robert Harris' novel 'Pompeii' probably helped.

Great Tour - This tour to Pompeii and Herculaneum was excellent. Our tour guide was informative and very engaging in what we were seeing. I would highly recommend this tour if you have only one day and want to see both sights.

Pompeili & Herculaneum - We were amazed. POMPEII was much larger than we anticipated. We like the size of Herculaneum better and thought it was better preserved.

Great way to see Pompeii and Herculaneum - My husband and I had a great day. Francesca, our guide, was great, so knowledgeable and made the trip really enjoyable. Pompeii although busy was fabulous to see and Herculaneum made a good contrast. The lunch was nice too. Highly recommend.

So much destruction from one eruption. - It was our last day in Italy and we didn’t want to miss seeing these towns.
It was amazing to see how preserved the structures and towns were. The guide brought it to life.

I was disappointed that... - I was disappointed that we did not see the Amphitheatre in Pompeii. Although I was most interested in seeing the ancient ruins for their historical value, seeing where Pink Floyd filmed their masterpiece Echoes was on my bucket list and I was fully expecting that the amphitheater would be part of the visit.
I would also recommend that all guests meet at a single point rather than having some picked up at their hotels whereas we and others had to find our way to the bus depot. Our return to Sorrento took an additional half-hour while a handful of the guests on the tour were dropped of at their hotels.
