Fantastic experience! - We had a fantastic time, officer Tia was very helpful (and suitably terrifying!) the escape room itself was just the right level of difficulty to make you panic (in the best way!) would definitely recommend

Shepton Mallet Prison Escape Room - The Cell - Absolutely amazing, such a good laugh from start to finish. The prison guard who lead us to the cell was brilliant couldn't fault her in anyway. The cell was really well set up, it made us think and work together, we did escape in 34 minutes. defiantly recommend plus you get a self tour of the prison after, so much history and information given, a really good day out.

More time please guvnor - Our first escape room experience, and first visit to shepton prison. Very helpful and friendly staff, except the prison warden who was excellent in role!! We didn't manage to escape, but could've given more time, so it was challenging but do-able. Time flew with it being great fun. Shame about the box with the pipes that needed tapping not working for us, but at least we were given some help to overcome that. Overall , a great and interesting experience.

Excellent Day Out - What a fantastic experience. 6 friends did the escape room experience in the morning, then a guided tour in the afternoon. Such a fun outing. The two prison guards were hilarious and Karl (with a K!), did the most excellent guided tour - so knowledgable and entertaining.

Amazing service for our 11 year old bday party - If I could have given this activity more stars I would have. Mainly because of the AMAZING customer service we received. I took a group of 11 year olds (plus husband) for a birthday party in The Cell. Kids and grown-up enjoyed the activity. My husband said that he was definitely needed in the escape room, and even then, they didn’t make it out on time (so worth noting if you’re planning something similar). Also to note, the prison is (obviously) a bit scary, and we had a sensitive boy with us who wasn’t so sure and decided not to go in. This was managed really well by the staff. The staff in the Reception/cafe area were brilliant. So polite and accommodating (and our children were definitely excited!). I went out and picked up dominoes for when they came out of the cell, and we sat and enjoyed these in the cafe, purchasing soft drinks from the reception area. Felicity and Luke (on reception) provided such great service, supporting our little group of lively children. If only all customer service could be this good! We will be returning to attempt the hole!

The Cell Escape Room - Did the Cell Escape room, amazing experience. Roger our guide was incredibly engaging and really set the tone for the escape room. The puzzles were really well thought out and bonus we got to have a look around the prison after too! All the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, will definitely be returning :D thank you!

The prison officers made it even more real - Absolutely great fun - staff were absolutely superb - both really acted out the prison officer part so was able to fully indulge in inmate life! Maybe not fully …. Would totally recommend - fun time!

20 minutes to spare! - Did 'The Cell' escape room. So much fun and a good amount of different puzzles to solve in order to get out. Four of us finished with 20 minutes to spare. The inclusion of a self guided tour after the escape room booking was such a good deal and we spent a further couple of hours walking around and discovering more.

A fab family afternoon out at Shepton Mallet prison. - We had a fab family afternoon out at Shepton Mallet prison with our daughters 18 & 13. We enjoyed a self guided tour of the prison with the brilliant guide book we purchased before taking on the Cell escape room. Roger our prison officer was amazing at setting the scene, treating us like prisoners and marching us up to the cell. It was a really fun way to spend a miserable wet afternoon!

Really enjoyable day out! - We visited today, with 2 children aged 8 and 12, to participate in an Escape Room which price included a self guided tour of the prison. It was a little tricky to find the entrance to the jail having arrived early but we were greeted on opening by very friendly and helpful staff. The escape room was fab, slightly challenging especially as it was rated filer ages 8 upwards but our facilitator, Tia, did a great job in role as she did on helping us many times with clues! Unfortunately we didn't escape but it was enjoyed by all! The self guided tour was really good, we were given map and my youngest joined in on an Easter egg hunt which was well organised. The prison itself was really interesting with plenty of information and easily digestible - strange to think it was a working prison only 11 years ago! Really great day out with friendly and approachable staff. Good value for money.
