Highly recommend! - Super tour and the guide was very good. It was a decently small group which made it nice to hear everything and see all the parts of the cave!

Almost mandatory stage - Beautiful experience, the guide was nice and helpful as well as very prepared. We visited the 3 lava chambers which are very particular and interesting, while the guide told us about how they formed and all the various environmental details. Getting "to the center" of the Earth was unique!

Cool, quirky cave - Great tour to an unusual cave. Kids loved it. Different to traditional limestone caves but no less dramatic. The guide was great and explained how the cave was created in a captivating way... Educational but not dull for the kids! Not cheap, but nothing in Iceland is! Recommended.

Authentic cave experience - Interesting cave. Enjoyed having own torch to look around & also when we all switched them off for complete darkness. Guide was informative & friendly.

Definitely worth it - Interesting tour, interesting facts conveyed with a lot of humor. Relatively small groups and you definitely don't have the feeling of mass tourist handling

Worth a stop - very well run - We really enjoy our cave tour. The guide was knowledgable, engaging, and friendly. I was worried the tour would feel like a gimmicky tourist attraction, and while it is definitely a tourist attraction, it is worth visiting. We were with two young adolescents who also both enjoyed it!

An interesting tour - Vatnshellir cave is great, it has many chambers and rock formations and the tour is very interesting as the guide tells you a lot about the cave such as how it was formed and its discovery. It’s quite small but the tour is 45 minutes. It’s a great attraction on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. While visiting Iceland a lava tunnel/cave is a must and the lava tunnel just outside of Reykjavik is way overpriced so go to the Snaefellsnes peninsula and experience this cave as well as lots of other jaw-dropping attractions.
