Experience the irreplaceable opportunity of snorkeling between two tectonic plates at Thingvellir National Park. Following a convenient pickup from your hotel in Reykjavik, you’ll be transported to the world-renowned park recognized by UNESCO. Once there, you’ll suit up in the provided dry suit and embark towards Lake Thingvallavatn. Plunge into the crystal clear waters of the Silfra fissure, a geographical marvel marking the separation between the American and European tectonic plates. Enjoy an illustration of underwater beauty during an unmatchable 40-minute snorkeling adventure. To ensure an intimate and personalized experience, the groups are capped at eight persons per guide.
- Minimum age is 12 years old. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian booked on the same tour.
- It is recommended to bring a change of clothing, packed lunch and warm undergarments

- This is a small group tour ensuring a more personalized experience limited to 6 participants per guide.
- Requirements: Weight limit: 45-120kg. Height limit: 150cm – 200cm.

- Pregnant women can unfortunately not participate in the snorkeling tour due to the small risk of cold water entering the suit.

Do it! - Amazing trip in the glacial water in Silfra! Our guide, Martin from Poland, was very informative and created a very safe space for everybody. I was anxious about snorkeling, but the experience was really good! The free pictures was online already a couple of ours after our trip was over. Would defintely recommend!

Really fun - Super day out!! We had great fun and our guide Mino could not have been more helpful. Wasn’t cold at all but did appreciate the hot chocolate and biscuits at the end.

A unique experience - we loved it. - What a wonderful experience. It felt very strange getting kitted out in snorkelling gear with snowy mountains in the background. Fede was amazing - she was helpful, kind and funny and reassuring for those who were a tad apprehensive. Absolutely loved it. We were so pleased we did it. Not as cold as we thought! Our driver Christa was very funny too - all helps with making it a good day. Very special. Thanks again Fede - Great memories, won’t forget this St Patrick’s Day. It was Ed’s first snorkelling trip so what a first!

Amazing experience - The snorkeling view was amazing the tour guide (Yannis) gave us plenty of time to linger in the water. And the photos I was not expecting to be included but they were they turned out amazing. Definitely wear an warm underlayer they will provide you with a warm layer and the suit to snorkel. Amazing experience

Awesome Time between 2 Continents!!! - This is just one of those cool things to say you did. As a middle school Science teacher (and self-professed Science geek), the thought of being between 2 tectonic plates was awesome. Don't let going in the winter scare you away from doing this. The dry suits they provide do the trick of keeping you both warm and dry (except for your hands). You'll never be in water this clear. Our guide Lilly was AMAZING! Funny, helpful, you name it. I'd 100% recommend this to people visiting Iceland.

Beautiful Silfra - Absolutely beautiful. The getting ready is the cold part - surprisingly once in the water it’s warmer. Mino out guide was fantastic, kind, and made the experience that much better. A must do experience and I’m so pleased I did it!!! Wear a very warm thin base layer and super warm socks!

Do not hesitate! Wonderful experience - We had the chance to go on this tour with Mino as our guide and we can't describe how beautiful and fun this experience was!
We were worried about being cold in the water since it is 2°C and it was snowing outside. But we were okay with the drysuit! Our hands got a bit numb indeed but with our 2 pairs of socks our feets were alright and the suit given that we wore underneath the drying suit kept us warm.
The water was so clear it was crazy! It was such a beautiful experience that we were truly able to enjoy thanks to Mino!! He took his time explaining everything to us and took photos for us to have memories!! We were able to get them super fast! They came out well and the experience was full of laughter and amazement!
Also the hot chocolate afterward was crazy and we miss it already!
If you are hesitating, don't it's completely worth it! Mino we really want to thank you we had an amazing time thanks to you!

Amazing experience snorkelling in Silfra - Amazing experience snorkelling in Silfra. Beautiful both above and below the water. The guides Nair and Mino were both excellent and helpful. Getting the photos afterwards is also a great bonus. The pick up and drop off from Reykjavik was very easy. The gear was excellent, despite the sub zero temperatures we were kept warm.

Silfra Fissure Snorkeling - This was such an awesome thing to do, even in the cold. Fede was an amazing guide, super friendly and knowledgeable, she made the entire process fun and smooth! The fissure is beautiful and the water is clearer than anything I’ve ever seen.

Fantastic snorkeling experience - The excursion was well organised from start to finish, Kris made the experience, he made everything as easy as he could, my wife was struggling to get into the back of the van so he lift her in! He went above and beyond to help everyone. His great sense of humour kept us all upbeat whilst we were freezing cold and struggling to get in and out of the dry suits. It's a once in a lifetime experience and one of our bucket list. Thanks Kris and your amazing team
