- Monastery of St Leontius - Situated in the nearby village of Vodocha, just 4 km away, this monastery is built on the foundations of an early Christian Basilica from the 5th and 6th centuries. The church features frescoes dating from the 10th to 12th centuries. In the churchyard, visitors can explore an excavation site with remnants of early Christian structures and a necropolis containing around 1000 graves filled with jewelry and ceramics. The monastery is open to visitors and is divided into two sections: the monks’ quarters and the residential area for guests.
- Monastery of the Most Holy Theotokos Eleusa - Located on a hill in the village of Veljusa, the Veljusa Monastery is a significant symbol of Orthodoxy in the Republic of Macedonia. The church, dedicated to the Holy Mother of God Eleusa, meaning “showing mercy,” is adorned with stunning frescoes from its founding in 1080 and the 12th century. Originally a home for monks, it became a female monastery in 1996 with the revival of monastic life. Today, a sisterhood of about ten nuns resides here, starting and ending their days with prayer. Although communication is minimal, the host sister ensures visitors feel warmly welcomed in this serene and picturesque location. The sisterhood crafts various handmade items available for purchase.
- Општина Струмица / Strumica Municipality - Visitors can explore the town center, enjoy the park, or shop at local branded stores. A lunch break can be taken here before heading to the slopes of Belasica for a waterfall visit.
- Koleshino Waterfall - After the break, the journey continues to the foothills of Belasica, leading to the Kolesino waterfall. A short 10-minute walk through beautiful natural surroundings leads to the falls, which are situated 610 meters above sea level, with water cascading from a height of about 19 meters. For those seeking further exploration, a small trail over the cliffs offers a view from the top of the waterfall.
