• Saint Climent of Ohrid - The tour begins at Ohrid Central Square, named after the city’s patron, St. Clement.
• Saint Sophia - Inside the church, portraits of six Roman popes are painted, showcasing the relationship between the Eastern and Western churches before the 1054 schism. The barefoot Christ and the cycle of the Forty Martyrs of Sebaste are rare features that make St. Sophia’s gallery unique. Its stunning architecture is among the finest examples of Byzantine architecture.
• National Ohrid Museum - Robevci House - Currently, the exhibits are displayed in the historic home of Ohrid’s wealthiest family, the Robev family, constructed between 1863-1864. The museum’s largest section is an archaeological collection showcasing the region’s archaeological treasures.
• Church of Holy Mary Peryvleptos - This iconic Ohrid church features unique 13th-century frescoes.
• Ancient Theatre of Ohrid - Situated at the base of the eastern slope of the higher Ohrid hill, beneath Samuel’s Fortress, the Ancient Theatre is near one of the main entrances to the fortified city – the Upper Gate. From here, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The theater dates back to around the 1st century BC.
• Plaoshnik - The tour includes a visit to the Pantheleymon church complex, constructed by St. Clement of Ohrid.
• St. Jovan Kaneo - The final site for today is the 13th-century Church of “St. John the Evangelist” (Kaneo). Lunch can be enjoyed at a restaurant on the shore, and a return to the center of Ohrid can be arranged by small boats.
• Samoil’s Fortress - The fortress is a symbol of Ohrid, with its walls and towers covering the entire Ohrid hill, rising 100 meters above lake level. Except for the southern side facing the lake, the city is protected by high walls and defensive towers stretching about three kilometers, reaching up to the Ohrid port.
