It was a great small... - It was a great small group (there were 5 of us in our mini-van) experience that covered what was advertised. It was easy to find the meeting spot for pick up in the morning and it was a short drive to Matka Canyon. We visited Matka Canyon first and it was nice to arrive before it got too crowded. The cost of the boat tour to the cave is not included in the tour price but all of us decided to go on it. It was fantastic to be out on the water - the colour of the water is incredible. The visit to the cave was OK - a little crowded as a big tour group arrived ahead of us. When we finished up, the parking lots were overflowing with vehicles so we got there at the right time. We then headed off to the Millennium Cross with one stop at a church on route (entrance to the church is an extra fee). The cable cars (cost included in tour) to and from the Millennium Cross run for half an hour and then have a break for half an hour. We had plenty of time to enjoy the views and could explore some of the walking paths before heading back down. Drop off at the end was easy. Elena was our tour guide for this trip - she was great at keeping us well informed and was a safe driver.

Outstanding - An outstanding tour, not least because of its well planned itinerary and spot on timings at each stop. It was a beautiful day and the views from Millennium Cross were stunning (we were even able to see our hotel!). Be warned though: this is not the point to need the toilet! We then stopped for 20-30 minutes at the stunningly beautiful Byzantine church of St Pantelejmon. You do not need to be religious to appreciate the beauty of this building and its astonishingly well preserved frescoes, especially the depiction of The Lamentation of Christ. From cultural to natural beauty, we moved on to the equally stunning Matka Canyon where we thoroughly enjoyed the 20-minutes boat trip to the extraordinary Vrelo Cave. There is some tricky walking here, but very worth it for the almost surreal beauty inside. All this for less than 30 euros and the added advantage of all the places being not far outside Skopje. Our trip was further enhanced by having Olivia as guide. She was outstanding in every way: informative (but didn’t overload us), helpful, knowledgeable and extremely personable. Thank you, Olivia!

Great day trip . Beautiful views. - This was the second time I had Zarko as my guide. ( sorry, zarko, I misspelled your name as zlatko in review for kosovo trip.) Knowledgeable and always keen to share his knowledge of his birth country. I felt I left a better understanding of the history of this region.

Fantastic tour guide - Excellent tour to do if you have limited time in Skopje. The guide was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about the history and culture of the region. There are fantastic views of the city from the millennium cross. One person on our tour had limited mobility and the guide did everything possible to accommodate them. Would highly recommend!

Skopje MUST DO! - Absolutely do this tour! Such a great way to see more of Skopje and it’s so so beautiful. The boat trip is an absolute must for an extra 8 euros or so. Breathtaking views and it was raining the day I went. Still worth it 100%. Our guide Corco was very well informed and shared a lot about the history of Skopje. Such a great half day trip to do.

Great tour & great guide - Zarco was a fantastic tour guide, we learnt loads about the history of North Macedonia from him as well as the locations we visited. The flexible start times were a big help too as we were on a tight schedule to make our flight home. Cheers Zarko!
