• Ancient Theatre of Ohrid - The Ancient Theater in Ohrid is situated at the base of the eastern slope of the higher Ohrid hill, beneath Samuel’s Fortress. It is close to one of the main entrances to the fortified city – the Upper Gate, offering an unforgettable and breathtaking view of the lake and surrounding mountains.
• Church of Holy Mary Peryvleptos - The frescoes in this church are among the earliest works of the renowned medieval painters Michael and Eutychios. Their dramatic expressiveness laid the foundation for a new trend in Byzantine art from this era, known as “The Renaissance of the Paleologues,” marking the final chapter of Byzantine art.
• Tsar Samuel’s Fortress - The remains serve as a testament to the fortified city that Ohrid once was. The fortress still stands today, overlooking Ohrid.
• Plaoshnik - Located just below Samuil Fortress is the Plaoshnik Archaeological site. Currently, around Saint Clement church in the Plaosnik settlement, there is an ongoing project to reconstruct the first Slavic University, where the Faculty for Theology will be relocated.
• St. Jovan Kaneo - Perched alone on a cliff overlooking Lake Ohrid, above the fishing settlement of Kaneo, it is a prominent landmark of the old town of Ohrid and a beloved symbol throughout the city.
• Church of Saint Sophia - The church, as it stands today, was renovated and decorated with frescoes during the time of Archbishop Leo, between 1037 and 1056.
• Kuratica - Following the Ohrid city tour, the journey continues to the quaint mountain village of Kuratica in the Mazatar massif on Plakenska Mountain. The hosts will prepare a special meal for the visitors. Meanwhile, depending on availability, guests can enjoy a short donkey ride or hike in the beautiful surroundings.
