Exceptional Culinary and Informative Tour - This was by far the best example of Cretan hospitality my wife and I have experienced so far. We learned much about the olive harvesting and processing process. The tour guide was well informed and very welcoming. The food we ate was amazing! For such a simple meal of bread, honey, fruit, herbs, Raki, special grape syrup and most importantly olive oil, it was a culinary experience. The tour guide’s father and friends were very hospitable, providing good conversation and helpful eating tips. Can not highly recommend enough!

Great time. Tasty learning opportunity! - Great experience. You get to see the farm and you have a fabulous tasting experience. The guide served a generous board of olive oil accompaniments (even with 3 people we couldn’t finish it all). It’s not far from the bus stop but time your way home to align with bus schedule.

Kleanthi Olive Farm Crete - I visited Kleanthi Olive oil farm with my family. We were taken on a tour of the olive farm. It was informative and friendly. This was followed by a tour of the factory. There was a clear and simple explanation of the process, accompanied with and audio visual presentation at the end of the tour We were then invited to have olive oil paired with meat, cheese, fruit, jams and grape glaze. It was delicious. The tour was reasonably priced as was the gift shop selling local honey, jams and olive oil. Many thanks for a wonderful visit.

Fantastic family trip - Fantastic introduction to olive farming in a beautiful location. Small scale but excellent host and tasting at the end.

Highlight of our visit to Crete - It was a really fantastic tour for many reasons, here are a few highlights. It was easy to find the tour, where we were greeted by George who gave us a tour of the grove to start. George is enthusiastic, speaks fantastic English and is incredibly knowledgable about olive growing and processing. After the tour of the grove and the mill, we entered the tasting room where we were treated to delicious olive oil, and many local Cretan ways to enjoy it including breads, cheeses, fruits, yoghurt, honey and herbs. Under George’s guidance we tried many variations we would not have thought of before and thus discovered many new flavors and pairings for olive oil. Overall it was an incredible tour and great value for money. The next time we are in Crete we will definitely repeat this experience. Thank you George!
