Top tour in Iceland - We spent 12 days driving the ring road. I would rate this guided tour as one of the highlights and strongly recommend it! In addition to beautiful scenery, it is interesting to actually see the craters in a linear chain, to see how vegetation took over the lava rocks.

Highly recommended - Professionalism and quality! The tour guide is a part of the family business and had a lot of funny and interesting story's about the family history, who is a part of the arrear history and about the local customs. Highly recommended! A really useful and busy day!

Great tour of Lakagigar volcano craters, waterfall, and canyon - In a country with no shortage of amazing places to visit, this trip is well worth the time. Even on our day where rain and fog kept blowing in and out, I’m glad we went. Secret Iceland really well describes the day’s experiences. Our group of 3 really enjoyed the entire day. But the itinerary is better because you take it with G or his brother T from Secret Iceland. We loved 1) the view from the front passenger seat, 2) the atmosphere of walking through the mossy lava flow, and 3) chatting with G about life in this area. Great tour of Lakagigar volcano craters, a waterfall, and canyon

A Memorable Trip, Amazing Scenery with A Great Guide - We had a wonderful day with Gudmann, co-owner of the Secret Island business and guide. As the season is winding down, there were just my husband and I going to Laki volcanic area with Gudmann. We were extremely comfortable in his super jeep despite rough roads and fording rivers. Gudmann is extremely accommodating, informative and shared with us a wealth about not only the geology of the area but also about the his history and growing up in a small, rural Icelandic community. The scenery on this trip is spectacular and we will take many great memories of this day with Gudmann back to Canada with us.

A great Lakagígar tour - I went to Lakagígar with a small group in the end of July 2022. The trip was fantastic, the guide, Trausti, was good. I higly recommend the guide tour with Secret Iceland. I think it is better to take the guide tour with a big jeep rather than go on your own with a private car.

Awesome day tour - My wife and me had a fantastic superjeep tour in June 2022 with only two more couples and the tour guide and his son as drivers. We were lucky that the weather conditions were fantastic and there were no other people / tours at the mountains and craters. Highly recommended! Thx again for the great tour!

breathtaking landscape - we had a great day on our Laki trip with Guðmann. Although we had a 4x4 rental car that would have been able to do the road, and also an experienced driver, we choose this Super Jeep tour. With the high tyres and a very experienced driver, who knows every single stone on the road (which is more or less a family road :-) ) we could take advantage of studying the fascinating landscape in a very comfortable way. Guðmann also explained very well the historical and geological facts of Laki gigjar as well as some local habits, like sheep roundups in the area. another big advantage: you can do hikes from one point to another and being picked up there again (if you drive our own, you have to go back to the car. the places we visited were simply stunning. Laki Gigjar is breathtaking. And we were very lucky to have wonderful weather, so a great view on the top of Laki. But also the walk in the old lavaflow, as well as Fagrifoss and Fjaðrárgljúfur canon are some of Icelands jewels to see. I highly recommend this trip, when you are in the area during summermonths.

Awesome adventure into the highlands of Iceland! - My husband and 12 year old daughter loved the Super Jeep Lakagigar tour. It was a whole day experience that didn't disappoint. Our guide Gudmann knew the area like the back of his hand, shared a ton of insider stories about life and traditions in the region, and kept the day moving along at just the right pace. It was a great small group of people - 4 others - and we all enjoyed getting to know each other. Everyone was respectful of Covid guidelines and just truly lovely. Highly recommend this tour as it would be difficult to access these sensational hikes without a knowledgeable guide and the right kind of car. Kids loved Gudmann's funny stories about growing up in the area and especially showing off the Super Jeep's abilities! Don't hesitate to book this tour. We had a blast.

Amazing to see the view ontop - We had an amazing time with Gudmann Isleifsson. The truck is comfortable and the ride is something to experience. He told us alot about Iceland, I enjoyed that. The climb ontop Laki was amazing the view spectaculair. The walk in the crater was also pretty but less fun.
