One beautiful castle after another! - I read about Sintra and prioritized the top places I wanted to go - started looking into logistics and realized a tour would be the easiest and most efficient. It exceeded expectations! Rafael was a great guide - he really knows his history and is so proud of Portuguese culture. All three destinations were special - and this is the only tour I could find that combines them! We also had lunch at a quiet place in Colores - the best meal I've had in a long time, simple but special breaded fish with tomato rice. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend booking... - Highly recommend booking this tour. Had a wonderful day exploring Sintra yesterday. Thank you again for your flexibility in personally ensuring this tour happened as scheduled in spite of a colleague’s last minute car issues. Really appreciated all of Rafael’s extensive historical knowledge, thoughtful local insights, the delicious local lunch, good company, and the recommended off the beaten path visit to Alvidrar/Fojo Cliffs was definitely a huge highlight!

Trip to Sintra - Alex was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable. We walked the grounds of Pena as she explained the architecture types and reasons. Then we delved deep into the spirituality of Regaleira, topped with a nice lunch. Then a visit to Monserrate castle and the treasures it holds.

Great tour, Alex was wonderful and has a great personality. We enjoyed spending the day with her. - Regaleria was our favorite however we loved all of them and the cute little town of Sintra. Alex was very kind to us as there was a lot of walking and we had to take some breaks, but she was extremely pleasant, and we had a great lunch with her

Nice experience - Pena Palace is just beautiful. However, the niche system is constraining especially in bad weather and forces us to consume on site. Despite the kindness and helpfulness of the catering team we are very disappointed the dishes were really not good and expensive. We still liked the visit of this beautiful place.

Sintra- beautiful. Tour- meh. - Rafael was a knowledgeable guide and Sintra was beautiful. I do feel like our tour could have been more well organized and better use of our time made. Ordering individual lunch for a large group at a non English speaking restaurant was difficult and time consuming. Transportation was as economical as it gets- a manual transmission cargo van with seats. There were no air vents in the back- which led to a few of us feeling sick with traffic and shifting through traffic. I would suggest Rafael bring spare waters for guests. There are not places to stop and it is a long day. We had a few senior citizens that could have used more consideration. Overall I think perhaps we chose the cheapest tour in town- that’s how our service and accommodations felt.

Not what was advertised. - Tour was not what was advertised. First we were not picked up at our hotel. We had to take an Uber to another part of Lisbon to get picked up. The car we got picked up in was not as advertised. It was an old car that had 200,000 miles it was bumpy and the AC did not work. We were supposed to get our tour from the owner Rafael, but he did not come. It was someone else. The tour was one hour less than what was advertised. We went to one of the sites in Sintra but did not go to the main palace, even though we were told we were drive by it. We brought to a restaurant to eat we would’ve much rather have toured then gone to this place to have a mediocre lunch. After the lunch, we just drove to a few places and then were brought back to Lisbon, dropped off and had to get an Uber back to our hotel our guide was in such a rush to get back home that she literally drove 80 miles an hour to get us back to Lisbon overall this tour was disappointing and I don’t recommend going on it

Tour Guide Forgot About the Tour - The guide for this day trip ‘forgot’ about the tour and never showed up. This tour was supposed to be from 9:00-5:00. After speaking to a man in the Viator office, he confirmed the tour was canceled because the guide forgot about it. This left us to finding a different and more expensive tour company to take us for the day. Terrible! Viator claims I will get a refund but that doesn’t make up for the inconvenience caused.
