• Sintra National Palace - Once a summer retreat for the royal family, this is one of the oldest palaces in the country, located in the heart of the village. Tickets must be purchased separately, or you can opt for Pena Palace tickets. If you wish, you can spend a few minutes in the surrounding historic center. Inform the guide if you prefer this option.
• Park and National Palace of Pena - After picking you up from your chosen location, we’ll head to Portugal’s most iconic palace. You’ll admire its romantic architecture, exotic vegetation, and stunning views over the Sintra mountains from its terrace. The tour includes tickets to see the palace interior (additional charge for Regaleira Estate if desired).
• Parque e Palacio de Monserrate - You’ll view the Palace of Monserrate from the outside, capturing its best angles. The palace is renowned for its beautiful and intricate gardens and its distinctive Neomoorish architecture. Tickets must be purchased separately, or you can opt for Pena Palace tickets. If you prefer not to enter, we’ll provide a brief explanation from the outside. Entry fee is 8.00 euros.
• Azenhas do Mar - After lunch (not included in the tour), you’ll explore one of Portugal’s most stunning landscapes. Azenhas do Mar, a former fishing village, has become a popular destination. Enjoy breathtaking views of its oceanic pool and picturesque village from the cliffs.
• Quinta da Regaleira - The Regaleira Estate is one of Portugal’s most fascinating sites, featuring unique structures like the Initiation Well and underground caves, along with its notable Neomanueline architecture and lush gardens. Tickets must be purchased separately, or you can opt for Pena Palace tickets. If you prefer not to enter, we’ll provide a brief explanation from the outside. Entry fee is 11.00 euros.
• Cabo da Roca - Visit the westernmost point of Europe. The quote from Luís de Camões, Portugal’s most esteemed writer, describes this geographical landmark with its stunning views: “This is where the land ends and the sea begins.” See the lighthouse, which has been guiding ships since 1772.
• Boca do Inferno - Enjoy a spectacular view over the bay of Cascais and a dramatic landscape where waves crash against the rocks.
• Guincho Beach - Later, we’ll stop at Guincho Beach, a wild beach popular with surfers, located at the entrance to Cascais Bay.
• Cascais - Next, we’ll drive to the village of Cascais, a seaside gem. Stroll through its famous Citadel and wander its charming streets, filled with local shops, cozy restaurants, and historic architecture.
