On July 7, 2007, it was selected as one of the seven wonders of Portugal and is the first romantic palace in Europe, built approximately 30 years before the iconic Schloss Neuschwanstein. From the Palace, visitors can view a vast expanse of trees covering over 200 hectares. This park features beautiful paths and walks, with numerous garden structures, including bridges, caves, garden benches, pergolas, and fountains. There are also greenhouses and nurseries with camellias, rhododendrons, and roses of rare and unusual varieties.
