Great tour - We had a wonderful tour with Ruben. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He also had great stories to add to the tour, and he provided us with some great food recommendations as well. He helped adjust the tour so we didn't need to repeat what we'd already seen and we were able to spend more time where we preferred. We highly recommend both Ruben and Walkborder Tours!

Paula IS Sintra!! - Our trip to Sintra with Paula was so much fun! She has lived in Sintra for decades so really knows it inside and out. She accommodated my need to go easy on my knees so graciously. She knows everyone in Sintra and it made a huge difference! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour with Paula!

Private tour to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril for family with children - We had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with Paula on our private tour to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment she greeted our family, Paula’s warmth and professionalism put us at ease. Traveling with kids can sometimes be tricky, but she made everything seamless, fun, and stress-free. Her deep knowledge of the region’s history, culture, and hidden gems brought every stop to life in a way that kept both the adults and the kids engaged. Paula’s ability to efficiently navigate and plan the day meant we were able to experience so much more than we ever expected, without feeling rushed. She knew exactly how to balance the must-see highlights with local secrets, ensuring our time was maximized and memorable. Beyond her expertise, Paula’s genuine kindness and enthusiasm made the day feel like we were traveling with a family friend rather than a guide. She tailored the experience to our interests and needs, and her thoughtful touches made all the difference. If you’re considering a private tour, we cannot recommend Paula enough. She turned what could have been a good day into an extraordinary experience that our family will cherish forever.

Skip the casino if you... - Skip the casino if you are expecting a historic experience. It is very modern. Sintra was the highlight especially with our guide, Paula, who was born and lives in Sintra.

Sintra with a local is the only way to go!! - Had a wonderful day touring Sintra with Paula, she catered to all our wants and needs! Paula is a local and that certainly made a big difference for us 💙 she knew everyone, 😉. She took us inside so many lovely buildings that were not part of a typical tour. Excellent communication with tour company that made booking and pickup at cruise port a breeze! Thank You Paula for a lovely day!

Amazing - This was a very good private tour. The locations, the guidance, the drive and the places that we stopped, but incredibly good. It was a rainy day, but this tour made sure that we did not miss a thing. Great job done by tour company.

Great Day Trip with Some Things to Keep in Mind - We booked a private driver tour of Sintra and Cascais with Paula. She was very kind, a safe driver, and extremely accommodating throughout the day. She also gave us great advice to purchase Pena Palace tickets ahead of time which is important as the early slots sell out. I would highly recommend starting your day as early as possible since Sintra gets very crowded. That said, her limited English made it difficult to get much detail from the historical explanations, so we didn’t take away as much context as we’d hoped. The Pena Palace itself was beautiful but packed with visitors, which made the experience feel a bit rushed. For lunch, Paula took us to a seafood restaurant on the ocean. While the setting was nice, the food was just average, and in hindsight I would suggest researching and choosing your own restaurant if you’re looking for a more memorable meal. Afterward, we asked her to drop us in Cascais to explore on our own, which was a highlight—a charming seaside town well worth visiting. Paula also offered to take us to see more monuments, but we decided to end the tour there. Overall, this was a convenient way to see Sintra and Cascais, especially with Paula’s flexibility and helpful planning tips. To get the most out of it, I’d recommend doing a bit of homework beforehand on restaurants and sites, and if in-depth history is important to you, requesting a guide with stronger English fluency.

Nice tour but could have been better - Guide was professional but accent was challenging to understand. The van had issues with a/c. The tour was compromised due to hot conditions and threat of fires which closed the Pena Palace at Sintra. The coastal restaurant selected by our driver near Cascais was outstanding.
