A Cultural feast! - Our instructor, Annie, was a joy as she shared both her knowledge and her heart for Singaporean cooking. She was encouraging as we went along. Another fun feature was meeting people from other places. In our case, we had a fellow American couple, a lady from the Netherlands, another from Perth, Australia and one local Singaporean woman. It was fun to share stories. Finally, the food itself was excellent, especially the chicken curry and roti jala

A recipe is your best souvenir - As the world gets smaller and cultures blend, one thing that remains unique is food. I think that learning to make a dish from place you are visiting is the best way to experience the culture. A recipe, is my favorite souvenir. The class at food playground was one of our best experiences in food travel. Not only did we make unique traditional recipes, we learned about other foods from Singapore. For example; a carrot cake dish that is not cake! You will take home your best memory by taking this class. I highly recommend it.
