A guide will review a map and provide brief instructions before you embark on an adventure through some of Florida’s clearest waters! You’ll paddle along the Ft King paddle loop trail, venture into the Silver River past numerous springs, and return to your starting point. Along the way, you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, including manatees, alligators, monkeys, turtles, otters, and various species of fish and birds!
*Our kayak rentals are intended for experienced paddlers who can read a map and navigate through nature with minimal assistance. This is not suitable for beginners. Paddlers should be in good physical condition. It is not recommended for individuals who are overweight, have back issues, or heart problems.
- Booking here is for a solo kayak with a maximum weight limit of 200 lbs

Our glass bottom kayaks are the clearest, most stable of it’s kind on the Silver River! They come with a sit-in-top design, which means they are well suited to all-weather paddling, stability is greatly increased and paddler comfort is enhanced. Our kayaks come with a transparent hull for underwater viewing all the way to the bottom, even the deepest springs in the river!
This activity is for those who have already experienced our guided tour, are experienced paddlers and are able to navigate on their own. During this activity you’ll share the water with alligators, turtles, several species of fish and birds. Our glass bottom kayaks give you the opportunity to view these “locals” in their natural habitat without ever getting into the water!
- This is a SOLO kayak with max weight 200lbs
- Children under 12 are not permitted to paddle solo
- Double/Tandem kayaks may be booked via our website only
- An additional State Park fee of $6 per person is due at the time of check-in
- You must call 24hrs or more in advance for changes to your booking
- Children or extra paddlers without a proper reservation will be turned away on site
