More than a cooking class - A cooking class it’s a must for me whenever I travel and it’s safe to say that it’s always a wonderful experience but this one surpassed all my expectations.
Their knowledge was passed on from generation to generation for over 150 years, it’s noticeable how much effort and love goes into what they do.
Personally I’m not a veggie lover and they are vegan, this was the best veggie meal I ever had in my life and I would even repeat it!
I recommend booking directly with them just to ensure that you money goes entirely to the provider and not the booking platform.

amazing authentic sri lankan cooking lesson - what a fantastic experience!! we spent a wonderful afternoon going around their organic garden and seeing how they grow all of their vegetables and herbs, and then made many absolutely delicious meals. I would 1000% recommend to anyone who wants to experience authentic sri lankan dishes with two lovely hosts !!!

Amazing experience - What an amazing experience! Where to start? First this is an incredible family, we got to know almost all family, so nice and helpful! Kumara and thanuja are great teachers and talkers. Second, the food was all from their garden, all in front of our eyes, from garden to plate, amazing!
The third one is a little of a advice, don’t believe in hotels and tuk tuk drivers, they will try to make you cancel your reservations with lies, just come and see with your own eyes! Really a mandatory stop 👍🙏🏼

Incredible food, incredible family - This was such a great experience and would recommend it to anyone, it was easily the best food we’ve had in Sri Lanka. We prepared and cooked the food with the family, which was lovely, and they supplied the recipes to us at the end. Don’t listen to your hotel or tuktuk driver if they try get you to go somewhere else, they just want a cut.

Amazing experience - This was an absolute highlight on our trip to Sri Lanka. It was amazing to see all of the spices growing in the garden, and then how they are used in the dishes. A highlight for me was seeing how the whole coconut gets used. Kumara and his family were so welcoming and demonstrated all the steps clearly. The food was delicious. A truly wonderful experience - I will be making these recipes at home.

Fantastic experience - It was a very unique and fun experience to participate in this cooking course. Everything is explained and as a participant you can try to make a lot yourself. All unique recipes of the dishes we had eaten that week were prepared. If you want to support the locals, it is highly recommended to participate. Kumara and his family can use all bookings!

The best cooking class!! - This was the most fun experience we’ve had in Sri Lanka. During the cooking class we got to do so many things by ourselves, we made a lot of dishes. They explain what everything is and what it is made from. At the end we had 11 dishes on the table and enjoyed an extremely tasteful dinner. The atmosphere was amazing too. Would really recommend this cooking class to anyone!

Fun, tasty, educational - Very nice people and a fun and educational activity. You will receive some background information about the family and the garden where all the vegetables and herbs grow. Then learned a lot about cooking and had a delicious meal!
