Great experience if you have a spare day in the area - Very nice experience, we managed to spot elephant babies - it was awesome! Tour starts early in the morning, we were back around 9:00 to the hotel. Honestly, 2 hours are enough to spot a lot of animals.

Safari with Bhashitha - The Safari was really nice! They picked us up from the restaurant in Sigiriya and dropped us off in another location with no extra charge. We saw some birds and around 30 elephants. Bhashitha was also very nice! He stopped us at multiple locations. Explaining everything, stopping at viewpoints and giving us all the time we needed. He is also a very generous guy! Thank you!

Up Close and Personal with Minneriya Wonders - We chose Sinhagirin Tours based on most reviewed. A day before the team sent a WhatsApp message saying rescheduling to Hurulu Eco Park will have a better chance of elephant sightings. However, the topography is mostly bushes and yes there were elephant mommy with junior elephants you’re crammed with 6-7 other jeeps. After like 1.5 hours I chose to change back to Minnerya National Park. Come what may due to the large lake there should be animals anyway! Our driver Bhashitha was very accommodating reconfirming again our choice with the office and off we went to Minneriya National Park. Excellent choice! Hardly any other jeeps. Just saw two others near the lake. Yes, we found a small here of elephants 3 adult females and - week old baby elephant. Saw several large male elephants too, 3 sightings of a deer herd, kingfisher, mongoose, sly fox all within the first 30 mins in the park. The track was nice and shady too compared to the bushes of Hurulu Eco Park. So for the new comers! Stick Minneriya National Park and you’ll surely see many types of animals. Kindly note, entrance fee to Minneriya National Park is LKR10,786.78 per foreign adult while Hurulu Eco Park is LKR2,060. Bring sunglasses and a hat to protect against the sun. Thank you Sinhagirin Tour for being flexible and a shout-out to Bhashitha for his sharp eyes and pointing out the many different animals, types of species and good knowledge of the animals! Highly recommended. We paid USD69.60 for 2 adults on Tripadvisor.

Memorable elephant safari - My partner and I had the best experience on this safari with our tour guide Bhashi. We saw so many elephants including the babies and we learnt so much about the elephants which also made the tour super interesting. We definitely had a very memorable time thanks to our tour guide Bhashi as he tailored the experience to us and even bought us a coconut drink at the end. We also got to get out the jeep and climb up to a view point in Hurulu and look over the whole park. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of doing a safari in Sri Lanka.

Incredible memories - We had the most incredible trip with Bhashi, it was suggested that we moved to Hurulu Eco Park as the elephants had moved from Minneriya due to the weather conditions and it did not disappoint! We saw approx 30 elephants and eagle eye Bhashi even spotted birds and other creatures, he was so incredibly knowledgeable. Thank you so much for the unforgettable memories.

Not to be missed - This was an unforgettable experience. We managed to see plenty of elephants and get very close without being an inconvenience for them. I didn’t expect to see them as close as we did.

Elephants, nature and the challenge of tourism - We selected Minneriya's safari, but finally changed it to Hurulu's on the recommendation of the company, since at that time (June) elephants move to this place. The animals look perfect and the driver was very attentive. The problem is that there is a saturation of vehicles that pollutes the experience. Everyone tries to get as close to the elephants as they can, and eventually it feels like we corner them. One thing that could alleviate this situation is to group people in cars (for example, there were many couples alone). The price/quality ratio is adequate, in addition to the price of admission to the park (5,000 rps per person).

Unethical animal welfare - I-found very unethical practices with the jeeps. There was so many jeeps crowding around the elephants. One of the elephants even tried to charge the jeep to protect its baby. Go to Yawa National park
