Mangrove tour - Really informative 3 hour boat trip along the river Sierpe, with lots of wildlife seen. Jonathan, our guide, was clearly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Just note that you won’t see crocodiles if the tide is high.

Wonderful river tour in Sierpe - We had a wonderful tour with Jonathan who showed us many birds, including the elusive common potoo, crocodiles,a boa constrictor, squirrel monkeys. His explanation of the importance of mangroves and how a mangrove forest is formed was fascinating. This tour was a highlight of our vacation.

Amazing tour - Our guide, Moses, was excellent. Nina was very helpful organizing. We saw 3 different kinds of monkeys, crocodiles, caymans, river otter, turtle, etc, etc-they accommodated our time for a private tour-great value for the money-we strongly recommend taking this tour!!

Fabulous experience. - Today was such an awesome day. The river tour was remarkable and I wanted to mention our fantastic guide , Moises. His experience and knowledge of the animals, birds, trees and plants was remarkable. An extremely likable person and he made it such a memorable time. We could see how much he loves his job and people! Thank you Moises!!

Relaxing, fun day of learning - I am a travel guide and brought a group of clients on this tour. They loooved it! Our guide, Maikol, was incredibly knowledgeable, plus he and our boat captain, Jonathan, were SO good at spotting animals and birds along the way. Several people in the group specifically mentioned appreciating some of the history and context of the land and how it’s been used, and how it has been impacting animals, birds, and the people of Sierpe. I will definitely be back with another group in the future!

Unforgettable experiential through the mangroves. Our guide Moses, fabulous. We've done it as a family. - Fabulous tour. Crocodiles, monkeys, snakes. A joy. The best our guide Moses. It has given us a real kind of fauna and flora existing in the mangroves

Excellent Tour! - The was a great tour and well organized. The captain had excellent spotting skills and drove the vessel safely and navigated our party into some optimal spots for pictures. The guide, Oscar was friendly, courteous, extremely knowledgeable about the plant life, trees, birds, amphibians, animals etc. The 3 hour time frame worked for us. Note: Oscar spoke excellent English and he speaks German and Spanish. Great tour!

Enjoyable Sierpe river mangrove tour 2024 - We happened to visit Costa Rica during a tropical depression that made our entire trip very wet. Initially we were reluctant to take this trip due to the intermittent rain, but decided to go after speaking with Nina. The entire trip along the Sierpe river and among the mangroves was well worth it and the right decision. Nina and our guide Jonathan were absolutely awesome to deal with. Nina was accommodating and worked with us and the weather. Jonathan is a great guide, knowledgeable and went out of his way to point out objects and wildlife. Jonathan informed us about the various wildlife we encountered including snakes, lizards, monkeys, bats, crocodiles and a large assortment of birds and parrots. With this excursion that Nina and Jonathan set up for us, we weren't disappointed and we probably observed as much as we would have in the best of weather. All our thanks for a wonderful trip and excellent guide.
