A great adventure! - Brilliant leader on our boat. Full of energy and made it all very good fun. My whole family loved it. I would recommend this trip to people with adventurous kids aged 10+ as it is not for the faint hearted! The water is absolutely freezing but it is so beautiful in the river and the water is crystal clear. Be prepared to be thrown out of the boat (in the safe places) and just have fun. There is a place where you can jump off a high platform into the river. WEAR A LIFE JACKET. I am a strong swimmer and it took a while to get to the surface and then I was taken downstream VERY quickly which was quite frightening. I would’ve been swept to a shallower part but I didn’t know that at the time. A day full of fun and laughter. Recommended!

Great day out for all - This is a terrific trip made even better with the cost at roughly £18 which includes transport from hotel to rafting centre which is about an hour from Side and a light lunch which is more than adequate. Drinks are available at extra cost which you pay for at the end but they are not expensive. Trip lasts about 8 hrs from hotel to finish. Special thanks to Carlos who was in charge of our boat which made the experience one to remember. The water is very cold but once in you forget about it. The river is quite calm and shallow (There are a few deep areas where you can jump/ push other people in) and there are enough rapids to enjoy the experience. In my opinion this is a trip not to be missed and I can guarantee you will enjoy the whole day.

Great fun and beautiful location - I was a little concerned based on the relatively low cost of this trip that we would not be getting quite what we expected, but was entirely wrong! Probably one of the best value day excursions we have had! The rafting itself, in rafts that carry up to about 12 people, is on a crystal clear (very cold!) river that runs through the canyon with few rapid sections that do throw the raft around a little but not to the point where you feel in any danger (we had my 9 year old daughter sat right at the front with us and she loved it!). On the quieter parts of the river you will always be in close proximity to other rafts and all the instructors lead the fun with splash fights and a little bit of bumping being a regular occurrence! They encourage you to drop off the side of the rafts in the calmer sections and help pull you back onto the raft when done swimming! The journey down the river is split into 2 sections, the first about 40 minutes and the second about 30 minutes, with a 10-15 minute stop in between. There is the chance to experience a zipline (extra cost) here and also to jump from a platform about 10-15 ft above a faster part of the river that sweeps you down to a shallow section, which was good fun! You can also pick up soft drinks (2 euros) or a beer (4 euros) here and a local savoury or sweet pancakes (2 euros). Once you've completed the journey down the river the trip finishes with a simple but tasty enough lunch at around 2.30pm. After lunch before you finish up they do try the inevitable sell of videos etc but it really isn't a hard sell, so no real pressure and they are of reasonable quality from what we saw. The only negative to this trip for us (not that anyone can do anything about it so more just to be aware of if you have kids like we did) is that the transfer from our hotel in Sorgun was almost 2 hours as we were literally the first on the bus and had about 8 or 9 other hotels to stop at on the way. However, as most of the people on the trip then went on to do quad biking afterwards we were returned in a smaller mini van with only 2 other stops so the return transfer was only an hour. All in all we had a great time and would highly recommend... as stated at the start of the review fantastic value when you get all of this for less than £20 per adult and £10 per child!!

Lots of splashing fun - This trip is about rafting on a mostly calm river with few easy rapids and splashing folks in other boats with water. They'll splash back. Playing bumper cars with boats is also fun. The water is relatively cold. The guide said 4 Celcius, but it feels more like 14-16 C. Some sturdy guys swam around and didn't look too chilly afterwards. My 14 year old son hugely enjoyed the trip. There are two stops along the route. One for zipline, paid extra, about EUR 10. Another is for a homemade 'launcher' for a lack of better word: the adventurer is dressed in a wetsuit, crawls on top of a huge floating balloon towards its end, then two guys jump from a tower onto said balloon, catapulting the adventurer up and into cold water. EUR 20, if my memory is right. The trip ends with a simple lunch around 3pm. Then a produced video is played on TV to entice its purchase. Quality is good, and they have cameras placed along the route near rapids. I'd say its worth it if you are in a large group together and act a bit to make this video a nice memory. Drive back is about an hour, depending on your hotel location. Guides make effort to optimize route by using different buses to shorten the travel. Base camp has changing cubicles and WC. Drinks, watertights phone cases and water shoes (EUR 10) are offered for sale. You leave all your stuff in the bus while boating.

Amazing Family Experience - This was an exhilarating family experience! Thoroughly recommend as although I was initially really nervous for myself and my 10 and 12-year-old sons we all had a great day and were well looked after. Booking and communication about pick up was easy. Great value which includes lunch but take beach shoes if you have them (we forgot and had to buy some more). Don't miss this opportunity as it is in a beautiful location and really great fun.

Great day out - Great day out - loved the fact that we got to raft for a good while. I would have preferred it had I been more prepared though. Bring water shoes or non slippy sandals with straps (not flip flops) as we didn’t and had to buy three pairs between us at 10 euros a pair. You can’t really bring much with you on the rafts and are out in the hot sun so be prepared to pay for drinks along the way. It’s worth buying a waterproof cover for phone to take photos as the video/slideshow they take costs €25 - unless you just factor it into the cost, as realistically it’ll be hard to get good photos of yourselves on the boat. The food was mediocre at best but if you are aware of the extra costs and don’t expect amazing food then it’s a great day out! Helmets are all the same size so our kids were swamped in the helmets. I would recommend it as a day trip with the aforementioned caveats.

We got a bit disappointed - Summarization: mediocre food, a lot waiting because of lack of organization, a lot splashing between boats and pushing/pulling each other into the water. Don't bring too small kids that can't handle the splashing. There was more splashing than rafting. Not many slopes. Even though, it was a refreshing bath in the cold and clear water. There was so many groups at the same time so we had to wait a lot. Even though we were first to arrive, we had to wait the longest. It took a long time to find people from different hotels and it was hard to hear because several people were yelling while the crowd was loud. This could be improved with better organization where they do a check after picking up the gear where they could tell you where to go and do a check on their list instead of yelling. After the long wait we got into the busses again and drove to the starting point. Again, we had to wait a really long time. At first we didn't know what we where waiting for. Then we saw that they took pictures in the water and then forming another long, long line to go back to the water again to get wet and we guess to adapt to the cold water temperature. Once again we had to wait and we believe that more than a hour has past at this point. After coming out of the water we got divided into groups and this could have been done a lot earlier. Instead we had to wait for a long while again. There were a lot and then we mean A LOT splashing between the boats and guides pushing you in the water. It is god because of the difference in the temperature but it was too much. Don't bring too small kids that can't handle getting wet and splashed on. Another thing that could get better is less playing around between the tour guides during the ride. At some points it felt like they we're playing with each other a bit too much while everyone were watching them having fun with each other.
