Fantastic - Excellent experience from start to finish....although when they come round telling you that you have various health issues detected by the masseur but that "lucky for you" they can sort out those problems for an extra £50....decline their kind offer.

Good spa, definitely a bargain - Good couple of hours out for a great price. Friendly staff and transfer was easy and quick to the spa An all round good few hours, we were told by the rep at our welcome meeting at the hotel that for for the price we paid for the spa was cheap and it wouldn’t be any good, but we decided to try it out and realise now he was definitely trying to get us to cancel to book with him. The only thing I would say is you did feel a little bit pressured towards the end to spend out 900lira for a massage that was apparently needed but speaking to my partner after he was told the exact same thing as I was. So not sure how genuine that one was.

The perfect unwind - A lovely overall experience. The mud bath inparticular was a delightful. The booking did include tea/coffee however we did not get that. It still didn't take away from the overall experience. Would do it again

Great value for money - The mud bath was only average and not like the natural listings ones but the saunas/steamrooms were great and the Turkish Bath first class. As per other reviews the body massage was sadly interrupted by a sales push, a firm no was sufficient though and didn't really take away from the experience. Would definitely go back.

Fanpity about the mid-massage Bully boy sales pitch - We visited this Hammam not expecting much for our £27, however it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. (Spoiled only by a bogus ”medical masissues everyone urgently required due to ”excess salt & lime”, more on this later). We were first led to a pretty basic looking ’pit’ at the rear of the premises, with some grey muddy water pouring out of a yellow plastic pipe, not the most inspiring of scenes however we got mucked in, (no pun intended), and lathered on the mud and actually found it really relaxing and pleasant. We were then asked to hose down and make our way back indoors. Next downstairs to the sauna, salt cave and steam rooms, all in a much nicer, relaxed setting which had us chilled out....after around 20 minutes in each we moved on to the traditional Turkish baths. For me the highlight of the trip, from the relaxing foam rub to the pummeling of the Turkish Massage, (the massuer did go easier on my wife though! So nothing to fear is the thought of being pummeled fills you with dread). It's safe to say at this stage I would have been happy if i’d paid significantly more for the excursion. Then we moved upstairs for the oil massage, again very pleasant until an ”interpretor” joined us and tried to convince me I urgently required a ”medical massage” to ”fix” my back, at the mere sun of €45!!) Now for me, ( a 17 stone rugby forward), this is no big deal, but my wife's experience was altogether more sinister, with the ’sales pitch’ turning a bit aggressive when she declined!! Sadly this experience was also mirrored by another couple who had visited earlier and had passed on the warning to relatives who we shared the mud bath with! ( so we were forewarned) Disappointing, as this spoiled what was an lovely couple of hours which I would have highly recommended to anyone visiting the area, however my recommendation does come with the caveat, ”beware the bully boys upselling”! If only they'd drop the bully boy tactics and focus on the great facility they have, we’d have happily gone back to have other treatments, (perhaps if they’d tried to encourage us to visit again for a full Turkish massage rather than trying to con folk with bogus medical issues)! We will definitely visit another hammam, hopefully they'll avoid trying to BS their customers! A great trip were it not for the pressurised BS about medical massages!

Could have been better - True about the selling of extras soon as you get there but you can politely say no. After that we got changed and ready to start. We went straight to sauna as I asked then what about the mud bath as I specifically chose this for the mud bath. Was told it was too watery due to rains etc. sauna, steam room were good. Salt room was average. The peel and soap masssge was good. The oil massage would have been good if half way I was left for a good 10 mins to get a English speaking person to come and say I need a different massage as I had tension etc. hard sell but i kept on politely declining. Eventually the person came back and gave a very light quick massage and said ok it’s finished. Overall for the price I paid it was ok and yes would recommend.

Complete RIP off - We arrived in Turkey on Wednesday 19th June and our first trip booked via trip advisor was the Turkish bath and spa in Side (prestige). We are a family of 9, childrens ages ranging between 16 & 3. It started off amazing, the mud bath, saunas, salt rub, foam massage etc and all for £78 which we paid before we left England. When it came to the 20 minute massage, we were all in separate rooms apart from the 2 youngest as they did not have a massage. One of the workers kept coming Into all of our rooms saying your husband has said have an extra massage as a treat and they said the same to my husband, that I had agreed this. They also went into all the childrens rooms and said your parents have agreed for you to have a chocolate massage. When we left we were presented a bill of £250! It was our first day and we were completely shocked. We felt intimidated and were driven to a cash point to get the money out! They would not take No for an answer. We were also not given the free tea and coffee only drinks which had to be paid for. Be very wary when booking this trip and remember to say NO to everything. It was our first time in Turkey and they caught us completely unaware. This ruined our holiday as a large amount of spending money had gone within the first few hours!
