Five Stars - Experience a cooking class with Carmen! - Highly Recommend experiencing a cooking class with Carmen! Once we booked the class, we connected on Whats App and Carman began inquiring what dishes we might like to make. She had great ideas and was incredibly accommodating. Her apartment and kitchen was beautiful and a wonderful space for the course. From her lovely patio you could see the sea, Ortigia and Mount Etna. She has the sweetest little pup too. She had printouts of the dishes we were making ready for us to make notes on. She let us be as hands on as we wanted, explaining as we went along. She was also full of tips and tricks or suggestions for how we could experiment/practice more when we were home (which we definitely will be doing!) We chose to make the fresh spring soup with artichoke, fresh peas, fava beans, leeks, potato and spring onion, lemon and fennel salad, Arancini with butternut squash, bacon and cheese, fried calamari. The food was amazing and we were very happy with our choices but have no doubt whatever we had chosen would have been fantastic. The time flew by, we enjoyed learning and having a delicious meal and made a new friend. We had such a wonderful time and will remember this day for many many years to come. Without a doubt, we would book another class with Carmen. We simply could not recommend enough.

Carmen Cooking Class - Carmen was a great host. She picked us up near our airbnb and carefully reviewed all of our options for the 3 delicious courses we prepared together. She provides copies of the recipes as well, which is a really nice touch. Her homemade limoncello was fantastic! I would definitely recommend Carmen's class for a unique Sicilian experience! Mary

Wonderful Sicilian cooking class - I highly recommend this cooking class; Carmen is a wonderful host and teacher! She let me choose the recipes I wanted to learn, and the results were delicious. I came away with a lot of insight into Sicily and its cuisine, and had a wonderful time.

The best experience ever !! ☺️ - What an amazing and unique experience this was!! Carmen was sooo sweet and went above and beyond to make our experience a great one! Every thing we made was so delicious and she provided us recipes on everything we made. This was the best cooking class I’ve ever taken truly!! I’ve taken a few and this was by far the most authentic experience ever! You feel at home and actually get taught how to do things instead of being forgotten about in a bigger more commercial cooking class. She answered all our questions and was so kind to us. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious! Her home is beautiful and overlooks the ocean and the volcano. She made us feel right at home ☺️ I would absolutely book with her again! The most perfect “foodie” day - I had the most perfect day with Carmen! She is a wonderful chef, kind, funny and quite the world traveler! After booking, she messaged me to see if there was anything in particular that I wanted to cook. She suggested a fabulous seafood menu and cannolis. She was early picking me up from my hotel and we went to her gorgeous house with stunning views of Syracuse and Mt Etna. Her adorable dog was the cutest su chef! We got to work on cooking and she is a fabulous teacher with great stories and very good at explaining what needs to be done, why and any pro tips. The food we made was delicious and easy to replicate at home (minus the cannolis- I’ll be buying those - lots of time required! Ha!) After learning I was a foodie, she suggested some fabulous restaurants in town which I later tried and were AMAZING. Carmen - thank you for the most perfect day! I enjoyed every moment!!

Carmen makes the best food experience - Carmen is friendly, engaging and a great cook. It helped make my visit to Sicily personal. :-) We made angel hair spaghetti and cheese stuffed eggplant rolls, Tuna filet with veggies and chocolate roll with ricotta filling. It was all amazing. ❤️

An unforgettable experience cooking with Carmen - An unforgettable experience while cooking the most amazing Sicilian food with Mrs. Carmen! She is friendly, mindful, helpful, full of life experience and insights to be shared with her guests. The time has passed by in a second, I've learned much and shared great moments with Carmen. Would definitely repeat again! THANK YOU Mrs. Carmen for such a extraordinary experience!

Authentic Sicilian cuisine - Carmen was the perfect teacher! We learned how to prepare arancini and as side dishes he suggested we make aubergine meatballs and potato cakes. Since we really like pistachios, for dessert we made a pistachio triamisu with ricotta. All in all - a fantastic menu not difficult to prepare with Carmen's directions. It was a highlight of our holidays in Sicily and we will gladly return!

An incredible experience that lets you take home a slice of Sicily - The cooking class with Carmen was probably my favorite activity that we did in Sicily! Carmen led us and another couple through the whole process of making cannolis, pistachio citrus encrusted swordfish with an orange and fennel salad on the side, and mussels & linguine. Everything was delicious and she sent us home with cannoli forms and easy to follow recipes to recreate the meal and bring home a taste of Sicily :) The day had the perfect balance of hands-on cooking and getting to relax and chat with a glass of wine and nibbling on some cheese while Carmen watched the stove lol. Carmen is so sweet and incredibly interesting and easy to talk to, and her home is absolutely stunning. I absolutely recommend taking this cooking class with her!

A delicious and delightful experience! - I wish we had the time to take another class with Carmen. She is a charming and gracious hostess, and the best kind of cooking teacher: knowledgeable about every aspect of the food being prepared, and eager to share her delight in the food, culture and aesthetics of the dishes as she guided us through the techniques and steps needed to create the elements of our delicious lunch. She is a Siricusan who shared tales and history of her city, and a world traveler who brings a sophisticated perspective We had artichokes with garlic and parsley, spaghetti siracusana, piwtqdhio-crusted swordfish, and ricotta tiramisu. She provided us with printouts of each recipe so we could take notes as we wished as we cooked. Her kitchen is comfortable and well-equipped. Cheeses and wine took the edge off our appetites as our food cooked. And her home-grown olive oil is fabulous! The apartment is elegant but warm, with incredible views of the harbor and Mt. Etna. We felt welcomed, at home and at ease, amd thoroughly happy with every aspect of our day with Carmen!
