Book it now - Miyouke was wonderful. She had a specific itinerary laid out and accompanied us the whole time. She made our day in Mt Fuji quite memorable with walking around the black sand beach to see Mt Fuji, local shrine and temples, cable car rope ride, taking pictures of us on her phone too and emailed out to us. We learn interesting and knowledgeable history, culture, language, customs and traditional of her homeland including providing us local snackies, water, The driver was very professional and van was clean. Highly recommend this tour guide!

Wonderful tour! - We truly enjoyed our time with Kyla visiting the sights near Shimizu. Although it was a rainy day and we could not view Mt. Fuji, the time at the Heritage Center and other spots made up for it. Upon return to the port we actually caught a glimpse of Mt Fuji making for a perfect day.

Shimizu Port Local Tour - We had a wonderful tour with our tour guide and van driver. Due to a large number of tourist at our first stop we reconfigured our tour. This made it very personalized and we had a great time even though we were unable to take part in our first stop.

Great way to visit the Shimizu and area - Our tour guide was Kiyono. She's awesome. So very well prepared with photos, maps and information. Any questions we asked that she couldn't answer, she found out. So pleasant and knowledgeable. And our driver was so courteous and fun as well. Our tour went 30 minutes overtime, which we agreed to pay for, but no extra fees were assessed. Absolutely a great tour in all respects. Thank you so much for a fun day.

Charming Shimizu - We took a day off from the ship’s excursions. The city provides a free shuttle to the downtown area. The port is conveniently located near an area where you can do a free walking tour to a historical Inn, house, Temple and Shrine. Volunteers provide a map to the area. There is also a shopping mall nearby with a big Ferris wheel. The view of Mt Fuji from the port and while sailing away is breathtaking on a nice day. Of all the ports we visited, this was my favorite stop. It was a nice break from the concrete jungles of the big cities.

Wonderful day touring with Hiroko! - What a delightful tour. We were a group of 6 and everyone agreed it was a wonderful day. Our tour guide Hiroko is Japanese and teaches English. She is a great communicator. She gave us lots of excellent information related to what we were seeing, and engaged everyone. She also took many group photos to give us lots of happy memories. She and our excellent driver added several surprises for us as well. When we expressed a desire to see cherry blossoms they went out of their way to ensure we saw them. They also took us to see a traditional village home, and took us to try some very good saki. We were very lucky to get beautiful pictures of Mt Fuji. That was good luck, but the tour was terrific due to the skill and personality of our guide and tour company!

Mount Fuji Wow! - Great views of My Fuji! The beach area was beautiful allowing for pictures of sand, water and snow capped mt Fuji. We chose not to walk up the somewhat treacherous steps to the Shrine, but we got good pictures from below.
