- Augusta Boat Harbour - Naturaliste Charters are the longest running whale watching company in the Southwest and have been operating professional whale watching tours out of Augusta and Dunsborough for more than 25 years, Established in 1993. The unique Cape to Cape location means we are able to offer a six month whale watching season from Mid May to early December.
No holiday to the South West of WA would be complete without taking the time to view and photograph the abundant marine and ocean life that thrives along this magnificent coastline.
Our tours provide visitors with the opportunity to view Humpback Whales, Southern Right Whales, and the rare Blue and Minke Whales on both their northern and southern migrations. As you watch these majestic creatures breach and frolic, we guarantee you’ll be mesmerised by their agility.

Awesome experience - The weather wasn’t great but thanks to the crew we still had a great time. They really did their best to make sure we had a great experience and we did! Spotted humpback whales and 2 green turtles! Thanks team!

Tours - A great experience never to be missed.
The sightings so close to you to view.
Great helpful, relaxed ,happy " staff".

See the whales - Had a great couple of hours just off the coast of Augusta looking for whales. The boat was great with plenty of vantage points. The crew were knowledgeable. Managed to spot some humpbacks and we got a pretty good view while not encroaching on their space.

Excellent time! - We went whale watching towards the end of July and it was excellent! The crew members were so friendly and knowledgeable and the charter boat was great! Plenty of space and places to lookout for wildlife. We were lucky to have two whales breach, a few tail flips and plenty of dorsal fins and blowhole spouts, plus a a very friendly pod of common dolphins, including a baby which was beyond adorable!
Would definitely go on this tour again! Highly recommend!! :D

Well worth the trip! - Pia was an amazing host and the rest of the crew too. We saw 5/6 whales and calves too. The crew were very attentive to the needs of their passengers and looked after me when I felt unwell.

Last cruise, few whales - Whilst the boat and crew were terrific. No complaints there.
But I learnt that this was the last cruise if the season out of Augusta. So the booking office obviously knew whale numbers would be limited. In fact I asked about the number of whales to be seen at this time of the season and I was assured there would be plenty of whales to be seen. We saw one pair, obviously stragglers.
We could have taken the tour from Dunsborough just as easily if I had known.
A little disappointed. The whales were heading north
