Famous for its timber craftsmanship and rowdy festivals this village is a rare gem among the towns and villages of this mountainous region. - Takayama - Next stop is Takayama, you will spend 2 hours here exploring this beautifully preserved old town, famous in Japan for carpentry and Sake brewing. Yuca is an amazing guide - Yuca was an amazing guide , he was so informative and made us feel comfortable all the time , we had a 15 month baby with us and he was very patient and cordial ! He was a great driver as well !!!

Shirakawago is a must see - Yuka was a great driver and tour guide. The vehicle was spacious and we had reclining seats and foot rest. Due to the ship only being in port till 4:30pm we did not go to Takayama. Shirakawago is a must see. We spent a good portion of the day there. We had lunch in Hida Furukawa and walked the town and did two saki tastings. We learned alot and we beat the crowds.

Highly recommend tour! - Our tour guide Kumiko was absolutely wonderful, she drove us to to Shirakawa where we learned about and explored these interesting house construction in incredible surroundings. The second half of the day we went on a walking tour of Takayama, visited several shrines and tasted sake!
Our guide went above and beyond to assure she answered all our questions, facilitated taking us to couple not in-route specific stores of my personal interests, and she even followed up with further information after the completion of our day.
It has been a great experience!

Private tour bus and guide - Yuka was a wonderful tour guide. She drove safely, gave us interesting history of places and towns we visited. And attended to our needs meticulously. This was one of the best parts of our trip.

Wonderful experience, excellent service - Can't speak highly enough of our experience. Communication from Kanazawa Tours was concise and specific, confirmed details in advance so that we were confident that all was in order. Our driver/guide Tetsuro was exceptional; courteous, efficient, helpful, and friendly. He was always happy to lengthen/shorten elements of our tour to ensure that we got what WE wanted, not just a standard tour. We highly recommend this service.

Beautiful experience all around! - This was such a lovely day! Tetsuro took us to Shirakawago and Takayama (it was too snowy to go to Hida Furukawa) and we had a blast. He was very informative and patient with us. We truly appreciated that he took notice of our speed and was ready to change things up when we asked. If you are going in the winter months, make sure you dress appropriately - there were 3-4 meters of snow when we went and it was beautiful! It was an amazing day and I hope we can do it again.

Kanazawa city was the best! - We be travelled for two weeks in Japan, staring from Osaka ( we loved it), following to Kyoto ( beautiful, traditional but touristic), then Kanazawa was the ultimate destination! Kanazawa is the must place to visit in Japan! The end destination was Tokyo from which I believe the best city which is not advertised at Al is the beautiful Yokohama! Don’t miss that!

Marvelous - We had an amazing tour with Mr Tetsuro. He brought us to places where we might not be able to do if we were on our own. He shared his personal experience & stories relevantly. Light snow on the day made it even wonderful.

Private tour to Shiragawago - We did not get to go to Hida Furukawa due to the weather. Mr. Tetsuro, our guide, was knowledgeable and spoke fluent English.
