- Shinjuku Sports Center - Our Kendo Experience is a program designed to provide foreigners with an opportunity to experience the excellence of kendo, a traditional Japanese martial art. A professional kendo instructor will teach you the correct techniques and practice methods using a teaching method tailored to your individual needs. All necessary equipment and protective gear are provided so that you can immerse yourself in kendo without any worries.
During the workshop, you will learn practical kendo techniques and strategies, and you can even try your hand at tournament-style matches. All levels of experience are welcome, from beginners to experts.
And our activities are staffed by instructors who have won third place in kendo competitions in Japan. Their high level of technical skills and expertise make this experience all the more fascinating.

This tour allows you to experience the excellence of kendo, a traditional Japanese martial art. You will wear hakama and swing a shinai like a samurai. You can also experience the tension of a match with other participants. This experience will teach you swordsmanship, courtesy, and the spirit of Bushido. You wear protective gear and use shinai (bamboo swords), so it is very safe. Why don’t you experience the ancient samurai culture of Japan firsthand? It’s not a private activity.
