A taste of Tokyo - Very nice way to visit places that as foreigner you wouldn’t find easely. During the tour we ate in a place hit by locals, we had the chance to taste different types of sakes and ended with karaoke. Good way to meet orher travellers! I would definitely recommend it

a good time but somewhat average food and cultural context - Ken san was a very hospital and helpful guide, and we had a good time hanging out with the group. The food at Torikizoku was somewhat average, and wished we had gone to a more interesting local bar/restaurant instead. We were expecting some more history or cultural contexts when we visited the kabukicho, which seemed genuinely interesting. Overall, we had a good time with the group and our guide.

Great fun - Overall it was great fun! The guide, Kota, was super sweet, in a great mood, explaining and answering questions and making sure everyone was having a good time. The food was good, the sake tasting was interesting and the karaoke was great fun. However, there was not really a choice of what food and how much to drink, I.e. either you are in or you are out, and in total it was a little bit pricey with 7.500 yen for chicken skewers and sake tasting. I think with this setup it would make more sense to just include food and drinks in the price to start with.

Bar & Sake tasting - The Sake tasting experience was really good but overall the group was probably a little bigger than ideal and it was probably difficult for the guide to communicate with everyone. Bar & izakaya wasn’t bad but again the group size probably made it more difficult. Finished with some karaoke.

Fun, but a bit too rushed. - Our tour guide, Ayana, was very friendly, sweet and enthusiastic, but since we had such a large group, (where 3 additional people were late or cancelled last minute) causing the tour to start a little late, it made the experience feel rushed. At times, it was also hard to hear her during the walk between venues. There was a surprise cost per venue that we were not expecting to pay in paper Yen per person which would have been helpful to know beforehand to ensure we were prepared. Regardless of how much you ate or drank at the first stop, there was a minimum due per person. Then at the sake tasting, if you didn't drink sake, you still had to pay for something to drink, whether it was water or tea. Karaoke was a really nice and fun way to end the evening, but again, there was a minimum due per person regardless if you drank or sang any songs. Although the experience was really fun, and we met a lot of cool people from all around the world, it would be beneficial to know these facts beforehand so guests can plan better. Would recommend adding on an option for those who don't consume alcohol, but would still like to get the experience.

It's a complete, scam I don't believe this tour actually exists - This whole thing is a scam. Never found the meet up point cause they did not give a business name, the addresses are not shown on the buildings, and everything is in Japanese anyway. I called to host who said they already moved on the next venue, even though only 10 minutes had passed, and that one 6 blocks away, or a 15 minute walk. So I go there and it's just a boring diner with no tour inside. Called and asked him to meet me outside but he wouldn't. Asked again 5 minutes later, he still wouldn't. After 10 minutes outside I left. I expect a full refund, I don't believe this tour actually exists. Just a complete scam. Besides, you don't need to go on expensive bar tours to meet people, everyone in Japan knows how to use Google translator. They are all courteous and eager to meet foreigners. Just walk into bar with phone and place your order.
