Amazing! - I HIGHLY recommend this tour! Our guide was Hide and he was amazing! We met in Shinjuku to board the bus. It’s about a 2.5 hour bus ride to Nikko. They stop half way at a rest stop on each of the trips to and from Nikko for about 15 minutes so you can go to the restroom and grab a snack. Nikko was so beautiful. It was unlike anything I’d ever seen. Highly recommend!

Nikko Toshogu shrine in Unesco and Nikko national park mountain beauties - Nikko world heritage is not very known by tourists and also therefore we were just small minibus with 7 people. Unfortunately on our way to Nikko there was a traffic jam which shortened a bit time on each location. The tour was well organized and our English speaking guide (lady) was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately as she did not have a microphone - when traffic around was loud, we could not hear her properly. Our 1st and most important stop was Nikko Toshogu Shrine which is complex of several temples, pagoda etc. which are registered in Unesco. You could spend hours here. Beautifully carved wooden temples. As there are many stairs - this place is adventurous for people with walking difficulties. Then we stopped at Kegon Falls - which is 100 meter high waterfall (I recommend also to take also a lift down to the bottom of the fall). Then we stopped at lake Chuzengi which mountain lake and to it we took 24 curves road. As we had only half hour at the lake - we just had short walk - as it was not able to take a boat. Several people including me had lunch option which was vegetarian lunch - it was ok, but nothing special. Overall it was nice trip and Nikko Toshogu shrine is really worth to visit.

Nikko heritage tour - We went a day tour to Nikko, a small town 150 km north of Tokyo. We visited Nikko Toshogu Shrine that enshrines the most famous samurai leader Tokugawa Ieyasu. Its carved and brilliantly decorated structures are part of the Shrines and Temples of Nikko UNESCO World Heritage site and the highlight of any visit to Tochigi.

I really didn't want to leave a bad review - The shrine itself is amazing to visit and I feel lucky to have seen it, and I hate to write a bad review about a positive experience, but my fiancee and I love these types of tours and have never had this bad of an experience with a booking company. The trip left over an hour late due to driver's injury and we didn't have the amount of time promised at the main shrine. The driver's injury was likely because the pickup spot was in an awkward spot right in the middle of the road that required you to either scale a several foot fence or step into a busy street with no crosswalk in order to board. The replacement driver then almost hit a pedestrian on the way back and kicked us out in the middle of the street. The bus was infested with bugs and the tour guide did not offer help. Again, I have done a lot of tours and have never had any complaints before worth writing a bad review about, but this was unacceptable.

Bad for older travelers - Driver & tour guide man were terrible Lady was very nice & politely helpful. Felt unsafe as 78plus year old. No time for Coffee at stops. Just bathrooms. Had to use Police help to get taxi at Return drop off station. Woman was nice & helping. Didn’t remember their names Sorry. No stepstool to get in & off bus as high. Feeling unsafe.
