The Art and Spirit of Ikebana: Beauty of Japan - Our instructor Nobo was so kind and caring, especially to our 14-year-old. We learned of the ikebana tradition, and were given beautiful flowers to work with. Special sweets and green tea were part of the experience. We felt welcomed and affirmed in our first-time effort. It was truly a special and spiritual time.

Wonderful Ikebana teacher, very knowledgeable and friendly - Nobu is very knowledgeable about Ikebana and I feel I learned so much in a short time. I was so proud of the Ikebana arrangement I created in her class. I feel like I created a piece of art thanks to my great teacher! It was nice chatting with Nobu and the tea and snack at the end was a great treat!

An enjoyable experience that will increase your appreciation of what might seem mundane. - Great experience, and good location! Directly next to a wonderful park/garden. Really niche part of the culture to learn about, and after taking this class you will notice all sorts of Ikebana throughout Japan along with the relevance as to what clippings have been chosen for the Ikebana display. Enjoy!

Brilliant and very enjoyable! - I had a lovely afternoon. The teacher was great at explaining the history and various rules, and then helping me to produce my own with the seasonal flowers that I chose at the venue. The feel of the experience was lovely and I would definitely recommend it. The teacher was also very patient and I very much enjoyed the tea at the end :)

A calming artistic afternoon - Easily one of the highlights of our first trip to Japan! Nobu was so friendly and knowledgable, she provided a deep understanding of Ikebana while also letting us explore the art on our own. Such a welcome breath of fresh air away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. It was quiet, calm, creative, and inspiring. All because of how friendly and masterful the teacher is. Thank you so much, Nobu for the incredible experience! Book this class when you are in Tokyo! You won’t regret it.

We learnt about the different angles and styling used in the ikebana technique, and now we can definitely use our knowledge moving forwards. It was really fun, and a great way to learn about Japanese culture. Highly recommended!
