An absolute must when in Tokyo! - This was such a well-organized experience - I cannot recommend this highly enough! It is a very intimate setting with very small groups, so you will not feel like you're lost in a big crowd. You get to be very involved. And the organization and the efficiency with which the whole session was run was absolutely top tier! And the food itself turns out so good!

Excellent Sushi Making Class! Highly recommend - Fun afternoon learning to make sushi. We loved the small class environment, the chefs were both really really nice, professional and explained everything well, nice room, facilities, very well organised and nothing disappointed. Both chefs spoke excellent English. We would highly recommend this sushi making class to others. Oh and the sushi tasted so good too. A tip for others, make sure you eat before arriving as you don’t get to eat your lovely prepared food till the end of the class. Allow plenty of time for arrival. We used google maps to guide us and found the location ok.

Sushi Making Fun - Participated in this class the day before the marathon as a low-impact activity. The women leading the class were lovely. It was a diverse group of travelers (solo, couples, family). We had fun cooking the rolled eggs and making the sushi. The sushi was delicious & plentiful!

The highlight of our trip to Tokyo! - We had the most wonderful time during our sushi making class at the Cooking Sun! Our instructors, Yuki and Hidemi, were very welcoming, knowledgeable, encouraging and patient! The class instruction included lots of background information about the history of the ingredients, etc, which definitely enhanced the experience! The process of making the sushi was very enjoyable and getting to eat our creations at the end was so wonderful. We would book another class at the Cooking Sun in a heartbeat and will definitely be recommending it to friends! Thank you so much Yuki and Hidemi!

A good way to spend an afternoon - This was our last class with Cooking Sun in Tokyo before we were leaving Japan after our 5 week adventure and it was a fitting perfect end to our trip. i booked our family into the class which included our two grandchildren (10 and 12). Since the classes are small we took up most of the classroom but had another lovely couple from France join us. We all feel we learned so much and then produced a big sushi meal to all eat. Cooking Sun classes are very well organized and well taught with the instructors all able to speak English. I took 3 other classes from Cooking Sun in Kyoto and Tokyo and everyone of them were worth attending and were very enjoyable. They are a professional but a personable school and are reasonably priced for what they offer. They covered a variety of sushi styles and gave you a good idea of how to make sushi and what the nuances of Japanese cookery entails. if you are looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon and opening up your mind to new experiences this is what these classes offer. Thank you Cooking Sun for another good memory!
