Additional Information

Join us for Tokyo’s maiden Ramen Tasting Tour!

The vast assortment of ramen you’ll try comes from the unique feature of serving ramen in miniature bowls, about one-fourth the size of a full serving.

Savor the mouthwatering diversity of 6 distinctive, scrumptious ramen styles at 3 award-winning ramen eateries. In a twist of engaging customization, you get to select these 6 ramen from 11 varieties on customize-friendly menus. Each ramen offers an assortment of unique flavors, from a light, chicken-based salt ramen to a rich, pork bone ramen.

In addition to tasting, you’ll immerse yourself in all things ramen for 3 hours - exploring its past and future, discovering how it’s made, and learning the authentic local way to savor it.

  • The journey begins in Shibuya and culminates in Ebisu (or Shinjuku, depending on the day you choose).
  • All the ramen broths include chicken, pork, and fish. For our vegan or vegetarian ramen enthusiasts, we suggest booking our Vegan / Vegetarian Ramen Tasting Tour.
  • Given the tour involves a fair amount of walking (roughly 3 kilometers or 1.86 miles), it is not advised for those with below-average fitness levels.
Location
SHIBU HACHI BOX
We'll be meeting in front of Shibu Hachi Box, located in Hachiko Square outside of Shibuya station (Hachiko Exit). Shibu Hachi Box is an information kiosk facing Hachiko Square. Your guide will be on the left side of Shibu Hachi Box (closer to the word "Shibu") with a "Tokyo Ramen Tours" sign.

would recommend - Frank taught us a lot about the origins, history, trends, and components of ramen! We got to try 12 different bowls between the two of us and each were distinctive and delicious. It was nice to walk in between each location with someone who clearly cares a lot about Tokyo and ramen. 10/10 would recommend. Great way to spend the day and know you're trying some of the best ramen in the city.

So delicious - This was a lovely tour. I can’t remember the name of the girl who led the tour (short brown hair) she was excellent and very informative. The ramen options were so delicious and a great variety.

Great Tour! - Great information, presented well and very organized. The communication before, during and after the tour was clear and well thought out. The ramen was very good. Our tour guide Frank was very personable, made a point to get to know each group within the tour and talk with them individually. There were single people, couples and even families with small children on the tour and everyone left happy.

One of the best tours in Tokyo! - One of the best tours we did in Tokyo! Sahori showed us around and gave us the best ramen! Having mini bowls is such a great idea, since you get to experience even more flavours. I would highly recommend this tour. We are even considering returning to some of the ramen shop that was on the tour.

Tokyo ramen - Guide Sahori knew ramen!!! All 3 locations served different twists of ramen cooking and didn't disappoint. Sahori was a good host at each location getting seating for our group and navigating us through the busy streets. The only reason we did not give 5 stars is not reflective of the guide but rather the salt in the ramen - drink lots of water lol.
