Highlights
  • Roppongi Hills, Shop & Restaurant - Along the way you will pass the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower building, home to many prestigious international companies, upscale shopping, and fine dining.
  • Tokyo Tower - Seeing the Tokyo Tower from the C1 Loop Hwy at night is an incredible experience.
  • Rainbow Bridge - On the way we will cross the Tokyo Rainbow Bridge with views that are simply divine, spectacular, awe inspiring. There are many places that you can see Tokyo at night but this one can only be seen from the car, and what a view it is!

On one side you will see a spectacular city scape full of lights and on the other, equally impressive lights of Odaiba island with its amazing Fuji TV building.

  • Tatsumi 1st PA - There are many ways to experience a vibrant city like Tokyo but nothing compares to a night run on the highways around the city.

Looping the iconic C1 Hwy, immortalized in video games and in car lore, weaving between buildings and through tunnels just hits different. Night scenery is spectacular.

We will take a 20min break at Tatsumi PA, a place where many car enthusiasts come for a stop while making loops on the highway or getting ready to head to, or are coming back from Daikoku PA.

Approximately 30-40min of driving in comfort and 20-30min stop to stretch your legs.

  • Odaiba District - While crossing the Tokyo Rainbow Bridge you will get great views of Odaiba, the man-made island home to residential buildings, shopping, and leisure activities. You will get a chance to see the unusual Fuji TV building among others.
  • Haneda Airport Terminal 2 Departure Area Airport Lounge - We will pass through the Haneda Airport through tunnels under the runways. If we are lucky and the time is right then we can see airliners taxiing above us as we enter the tunnels.
  • Yokohama Bay Bridge - Just before arriving at Daikoku PA you will get an amazing view of the Yokohama Bay Bridge and off the Yokohama skyline. Yokohama is a major cruise ship stop and you may see those also.
  • Daikoku Parking Area - Heading towards your final destination we will take the Wangan Hwy. This is a long straight highway connecting Tokyo and Yokohama made famous by the street racing escapades of the ‘90s and a manga, aptly named Wangan Midnight.

Ever since then it has been the artery connecting key epicenters of Japanese Car Culture.

Daikoku PA is an unassuming parking area that has been a place for nightly car gatherings for decades.

You can see iconic JDM machines from stock, classic to wild time attack builds, from drift machines to Kaido Racers, and from obscure to highly popular. There is probably something for everyone there.

You will also find plenty of Euro metal and American muscle. If you are lucky, you may see supercars, vintage classics, lowrider, and hot rods, you name it.

You will be driven in comfort for 30-40min and rest for 2hrs to stretch your legs, shop, and drink if you so desire.

All along we will immerse you in the stories behind the car culture and life in Japan.

  • Minatomirai - On the way back you get a beautiful view of the Yokohama city skyline, Minatomirai area, and Yokohama Port.
  • Rainbow Bridge - One of the best views of the Tokyo city skyline is from the car when you cross the Rainbow Bridge from the Odaiba side to Tokyo….breathtaking.
  • Shibuya - On the way back to Shibuya you will have more opportunities to see the awesome night views of Yokohama and Tokyo.

The crossing of the Tokyo Rainbow Bridge from the Odaiba side to Tokyo is among the most spectacular views of the Tokyo skyline.

The drive back will take 45-60min with even more opportunities to take photos/videos while engaged in fun conversations about cars, the people, and life in Japan in general.

Easy, fun, enjoyable Japanese car experience. - Michael was a great tour guide. I learned about the car culture and about driving in Japan. We went to some famous meet spots and saw a ton of cars that we don't have back in the states. Pretty good way to spend an evening in Tokyo if you don't have a car to go to these places on your own.

Another side of Tokyo Tourism! - Terrific Tour. Have been to Tokyo from the United States twice before. Decided to do a different kind of tour and it paid off big! Michael was a wonderful guide and great driver. Felt very safe around the whole city while driving. Highly recommend, specially if you like or love cars!!

Japanese car scene is better at night - The late night adventure was great! Seeing the city at night when there is very little traffic is amazing. No traffic to worry about, so there is time to leisurely see the skyline of Tokyo. My tour guide, Mike, is very knowledgeable and a great host. This tour was worth booking, and I would do it again. There is a convenience store next to the Daikoku parking lot which definitely caters to enthusiasts. As someone else mentioned, do not use taxis to get here. Rent a car, ride with friends, or book this tour.

HNL to HND - We had a great time! This activity was for our 12 year old who is a huge GTA fan and has been showing growing interest in import cars. Michael communicated pick-up location and time, and was early to pick us up. The drive to Daikoku was filled with history, fun facts and other interesting Japan resident insight. Michaels car was also very comfortable for about an hour drive which included traffic. We went on a Tuesday (12/26), and while the weekends and holidays are known to have a larger turn out, we were able to see quite a few cars and people out that night. Thank you, Michael! We had a great time and will be sure to book with you again when we are back in Japan.
