Highlights
  • Rainbow Bridge - As we journey, we’ll traverse the Tokyo Rainbow Bridge, offering views that are simply divine, spectacular, and awe-inspiring. While there are many spots to admire the Tokyo skyline, this particular view is exclusive to those in a car, and it’s truly remarkable!

On one side, you’ll witness a stunning cityscape brimming with buildings, and on the other, the equally impressive structures of Odaiba Island, including the remarkable Fuji TV building.

  • Tatsumi 1st PA - There are numerous ways to experience a vibrant city like Tokyo, but nothing compares to a highway run around the city.

Looping the iconic C1 Highway, celebrated in video games and car lore, weaving between buildings and through tunnels offers a unique thrill. The cityscapes are spectacular.

We’ll take a 20-minute break at Tatsumi PA, a popular stop for car enthusiasts making loops on the highway or preparing to head to, or returning from, Daikoku PA.

Expect approximately 30-40 minutes of comfortable driving and a 20-30 minute stop to stretch your legs.

  • Odaiba District - While crossing the Tokyo Rainbow Bridge, you’ll enjoy fantastic views of Odaiba, a man-made island featuring residential buildings, shopping, and leisure activities. You’ll also get a glimpse of the unique Fuji TV building, among others.

  • Yokohama Bay Bridge - Just before reaching Daikoku PA, you’ll be treated to an amazing view of the Yokohama Bay Bridge and the Yokohama skyline. Yokohama is a major cruise ship stop, and you might even spot some ships.

  • Daikoku Parking Area - As we head towards our final destination, we’ll take the Wangan Highway, a long, straight road connecting Tokyo and Yokohama, made famous by the street racing escapades of the ‘90s and the manga “Wangan Midnight.”

Since then, it has become the artery connecting key epicenters of Japanese car culture.

Daikoku PA is an unassuming parking area that has been a hub for nightly car gatherings for decades.

Here, you can see iconic JDM machines ranging from stock classics to wild time attack builds, drift machines to Kaido Racers, and everything in between. There’s something for everyone.

You’ll also find plenty of European and American muscle cars. If you’re lucky, you might see supercars, vintage classics, lowriders, and hot rods.

You’ll be driven in comfort for 30-40 minutes and have a 2-hour rest to stretch your legs, shop, and enjoy a drink if you wish.

Throughout the journey, we’ll immerse you in the stories behind car culture and life in Japan.

  • Rainbow Bridge - One of the best views of the Tokyo city skyline is from the car when you cross the Rainbow Bridge from the Odaiba side to Tokyo. It’s breathtaking.

Fun tour of exciting Tokyo car culture - My family and I had a great time experiencing Tokyo's car culture on a Sunday tour! Michael drove us around to some key areas, and then the featured Daikoku Parking Area, which is a highway rest stop and can only be accessed by car. It was great to hear about Michael’s life in Tokyo and his knowledge and passion for cool cars. He helped us see some fun cars and people and get a glimpse into this aspect of Tokyo life. The tour was relaxed and fun, with plenty of time to soak it all in.

Perfect tour for enthusiasts or people trying to learn about the industry - It was an awesome experience! Michael was the perfect host, with his vast knowledge of the car industry, we learned so much during this trip😃. We saw quite a lot of cars, both old and new, and of course my favorite the R34 GTR! At the end Michael agreed to drop us off to a different spot to our choosing, which was so nice of him. We wished we could have spent more time with him as he was really an awesome person, but unfortunately we were pressed by time. I hope that he expands this business so that more people will get such an awesome experience!

19year old son said “experience of a lifetime” - Michael was our guide and was great. Very knowledgeable about cars, especially since he worked in the industry and collected models as a child. I took my 19 year old son and Michael asked him “what are the three dream cars you want to see today”. Sure enough, we saw two right away and right before leaving, we saw the third one. Daikoku PA is a dream area as a car meet. Like Forrest Gump says “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get”. The magical cars kept rolling off the freeway and into Daikoku for us.

Great experience - Taking the chance of biz trip for Japan, I booked this day trip to see the cars what I heard it is supposed to be amazing! I got some free time and booked the trip here, that was unexpectedly much more fun than I imagined!!it’s not just a few cars… soooo many interesting cas come out to the day, in the sun, all those cars look stunning! Not only this, many people would gather here to walk around and talk, it’s not the culture we would expect anywhere outside of Japan! People are so nice to talk with! One thing I need to say here is, I booked this trip was because all other tour schedules were full at the time, although this one was still only 1 review but I noticed the person running it mentioned that he had been working in the automotive industry 20+ years! Since I am also working in the same industry, this trip definitely will make the unexpected plus for my work :) well, it did!! He is an amazing person, so friendly and not only about the 20+ year’s industry knowledge, also the wide range of the preferences!! I was content with this trip and hope this review can be some reference for those are considering booking the trip for Daikoku.

Cool new experience for me! - As a photographer I am always on the search for something new, a new perspective, or a new subject, or simply the right climate or atmosphere to capture. It is those undefined moments, when captured at the right time, that tell a story through the image. I was looking for something new and came across this tour run by Misiu JDM X, and thought, why not. Cars are a new thing for me, and I wanted to see if that is something I want to dive into. Short answer, YES! Let me tell you. I was blown away. Daikoku PA was just MAD. It is just crazy how many different cars are there. The cars, the people, the electric vibe were great. Oh, and the views of Tokyo were amazing too. Thank you Michael for the experience, the stories, and I looking forward to working with you in the future!
