MOUNT MOSĖ AND ST. CATHERINE - Sinbad is the best Sharm top tour operator in all... Do not hesitate to book with them
When booking very kind and maximum availability
Impeccable perfect precisions
The MOUNT MOSĖ AND ST. CATHERINE MONASTERY hike is a unique and mystical experience
I would call it more than an excursion a pilgrimage...
For the ascent to the mountain you need a physical preparation especially for those who want to reach the summit...
The route is quite challenging if you are not practical trekking...
The first part can be done on the back of a Camel at an extra cost of € 25 negotiable locally
I ko made the climb all on foot The gait of the Bedouin guide was very fast
Bring hiking boots absolutely and climbing wands a thermal T-shirt a sweatshirt and a windproof jacket X the top... Breakfast in your backpack a flashlight a headband X and a prayer in your pocket
I saw the best star of my life almost touch the sky and a sunrise that I will remember X all my life
We were very few people at the summit and also in the minibus and everything made the experience tailor-made
I would have appreciated a photographer
At the monastery the emotions continued with the burning bush the well of Moses and the Orthodox church the museum and the mosque
What about a dream booked 6 months ago realized thanks to Sinbad tours
A dream I will remember for a lifetime
If you decide on this pilgrimage be prepared for a purpose a prayer and aerobic physical activity
A sacred place
A place to preserve
An exciting place
Beyond material goods
Sinbad thank you very much
Top everything impeccable
What a fantastic experience 😍

Wonderful Experience - This was a gorgeous moment. However, note that this is a very hard climb even for someone in shape. Best to do at night nit during the day in the heat.

Absolute Egypt - This amazing location would not have been possible without Mrl and Mina from Absolute Egypt. From our landing at Cairo they provided a guide which made our transition through customs so fluid and void of any unnecessary waiting. This service was to continue throughout the tour with the most knowledgeable guides I have ever met in Dahlia and Macmood. Their facts and data were precise and extensive in everything they presented. Our guide on the bus to the mountain again was knowledgeable and professional went out of his way to make our trip enjoyable. Finally the local Bedouin guide during the ascent and descent was the most gentle and helpful person I've met. It was almost embarrassing climbing in proper gym pants runners or boots to see our guide easily stroll up and down one of the most gruelling efforts in nothing but local costume and sandals. Thr vlomb itself witnessing the morning sunrise was life changing given the historical significance of the location. Well worth every drop of sweat and muscle aches. Thanks again to Australian based company Absolute Egypt and the dedication and professionalism shown by Mel and Mina.

An Unforgettable Sunrise with My Husband - The climb up Mt. Sinai was a challenging, rewarding experience. We had a 3 hour journey from The Savoy at Sharm El Sheikh to St. Catherine’s and then the climb began. We planned this experience to climb during the night to be at the summit for sunrise. Our guide, Shaaban, was helpful throughout the journey up and down. If you could request a guide, Shaaban would be an excellent choice. He was kind and patient! There was another young man who assisted me on the way up and down as well. He made the walk much easier. The trail is made up of switchbacks to make the grade bearable for all to walk on. Once close to the top, there are 750 “steps” to the summit. When the sun rises, the view is exceptional. The colors of the sunrise and the landscape are not to be missed!
Tips: *Dress in layers to accommodate temperature change as you ascend and
descend.
*Have water to keep hydrated. You can also purchase some at the rest stops on
the way.
*Don’t hesitate to ride a camel up in order to save your legs for the steps and
the walk down.
*Before you go, take advantage of Youtube videos that people post to get a feel
for what the trail steps are like.

Cons of the mount. - Pros: You're on Mt. Sinai where so much history has happened. It's a very cool night hike with a group of about 30 other people and it could get crowded. The views are incredible and icons are quite nice also. It really brought the Middle Eastern adventure together especially as I paid 20$ to take a camel downhill after the sunrise.
Cons: I had to search what to wear. It is cold on the mountain so I wore jeans and a light coat. The busride was quite long so be prepared for that. There's trash there with "Bedouins" just throwing garbage on the ground and not caring whatsoever. They will beg for tips no matter what. Every 30 minutes walking there's like a snack shack so you can buy anything from snickers and a coke to a warm knitted jacket.
Biggest con was the Monastery was closed because of Easter. So I'll have to go again, but hope I can just take a taxi.

Heavy but magical! - At the start we were divided into groups and each group was assigned a guide. Because the pace in the group was so different we did the climb mostly alone (which is perfectly possible). Our guide was left with some people who stopped more often or stayed longer at the teahouses of the bedouin. The last climb of 1 km with more than 700 steps was difficult. The steps are uneven, sometimes high step and it goes up steeply. We were well prepared for the cold but that was not so bad. We started the climb at 1h30 and reached the summit at 4h45, the magical sunrise at 5h15 made us forget the strenuous effort. But then came the descent. We are not super sporty (we walk often but mostly flat), it was difficult but doable. The sleepless night does provide an extra heavy factor. It is a once in a liftime experience for us. We won't do it again soon but we're still glad we did.

Worst trip - I didn’t want to give 1 star, tour so poorly organised,do not book with this tour operator, other groups were getting regular rest stops and instructions, our guide told us if we wanted a rest stop we would need to pay to go on a camel, even though all the group were requesting a rest stop, poor and limited instructions given, picked up in a small, cramped mini bus with poor air conditioning, told to stand in direct sunlight for st Catherine’s briefing,on return journey bus stopped 10 minutes drive from hotel,a number of us were told to get off the bus to be transferred by another bus to our hotels, sharer were all in direct sunlight,by the side of the road ,we were left waiting 10 minutes before other vehicle arrived,we were not able to get back on original transport whilst waiting,if wanting to do this trip, book with different tour operator

Mount Sinai - So what to say....the climb where you have to stop every 5 minutes .to wait....you are cold ..the usefulness of the Bedoin guide....none
The trail was littered with garbage
Too many people...we understand the interest of money...I felt like I was on the beaches of the south of France
And then you wait two hours for the visit of the Monastery....
Excursion to escape

No communication - The trip was cancelled without any reason given. I contacted the operator directly to ask why the trip was cancelled, I didn't receive an answer.
Very disappointing as the trip was planned for my 40th birthday and our group had organised our holiday around this excursion.
I appreciate they may had been reasons out of the operators control but better communication is needed.

The worst hiking I've ever done - The worst hike I've done ever.
Very bad experience.
We've to pays to climb the mountain, a "guide" will bring you to the top
We started about 12am to arrive about 4am, we had to wait 2 hours at the top , probably to buy something to his friends, blanket, Thea, coffee, chocolate 🤬 I got pissed of it, really. After that, a hundred of people arrived, maybe more, that's crazy!
I'll definitely nor recommend it to who's looking for a wild hike.
You can get real good sunrise everywhere.
