Additional Information

Kickstart a mesmerizing journey from your hotel in Sharm at 8:30 PM. An enticing 3-hour bus ride will guide us to the foot of Moses Mountain, where a thrilling nocturnal climb of approximately 750 stairs begins. After around 4 hours, you will be standing on the peak of Mount Sinai, welcoming an awe-inspiring sunrise view.

With the break of day, we will start descending towards the symbolic St. Catherine Monastery, a trip of 2–3 hours. Discover the fascinating features inside the monastery precincts for 2 hours — from a mosque dating back to the 11th century to an Orthodox Greek abbey tucked like a stronghold. The church’s inner quarters house the esteemed relics of Saint Catherine, while on the other hand, the mystic Holy Valley invites.

This is the spot where God ordered Moses to take off his sandals, underscoring the sacredness of the terrain. We expect to be back at the hotel around 1 PM, culminating a memorable voyage of history and spirituality.

What an amazing experience! - Sun rise views are amazing but it takes a lot of efforts to climb up there and come back, so you need good physical condition as even with the camels you still need to be anle to climb the 750+ "steps" up and down. Our guide Sayed was great and our local bedouin sherpa was of good help. It is really cold up there (we had - 4°C) so dress accordingly or buy some warm clothes prior to ascending. You will definitely need good shoes too, the way up is very hilly and steep.

I don't recommend - The nature is beautiful and the walking route is excellent, but the dirt along the entire path is shocking: garbage, mud from camels, plastic. Along the tourist trail, beggars beg tourists for money and abuse camels. Our guide Ibrahim accompanied us on the bus. During the 3-hour journey in one direction and 3 hours in the other, he non-stop communicated with the drivers only in Arabic and did not fulfill his function as a guide (why was he even with us?). The cabin was very noisy due to their communication. It was impossible to sleep on the way back. It was extremely rare that the guide Ibrahim tried to present information and it was just a set of English words not connected to the story. P.S. The guide needs to read the tour materials at least on Google before trying to tell you anything. Inside the church we were disappointed - but at the entrance you will be forced to wait for more than two hours, and during this time the beggars will try to lure money out of you. The church is not well-kept, and inside they will try to deceive you by selling prayer books and candles (in one corner hangs a piece of paper warning that no one is responsible for speculation on the territory of the temple). You will not be able to draw water from the holy spring, and you can look at the icons only for a certain fee. Based on the results of the inspection of the temple: loss of time, begging, lack of a qualified story about the history of this place. As a result, they could not put us in cars and take us home. The drivers argued for about 40 minutes and did not want to move. Well, in the end they couldn’t take me to the hotel because the driver hit a car parked on the street. I do not recommend using the services of this excursion. By the way, the second picture in the tour feed, I don’t know where this picture comes from. We didn’t see anything in the rocks like in the photo.

Find another way - First it was supposed to pick up at 8.30 but finally 7.40 and when we back we arrive 14.00 so didn’t get time to have lunch in my hotel. I book a tour in English but we have to listen in 3 languages..they mention snacks but we didn’t get anything so wrong advertising.we get charged to get to toilet and trust me, there was no paper, very dirty everywhere.the monastery you stay 30min inside you don’t even enter in the museum if not you have to pay extra.the guide is not really useful. At the end he asked all to make video about the trip is amazing, it’s not a way to do things and not professional at all.you arrive there too much in advance because you have to wait every people from the group. A lot of wasting time with bad organisation.
