Best experience!!! - Myself and my boyfriend had the best experience with FTS Travels on our trip to the Pyramids of Giza in Cairo. We were collected promptly from our accommodation and dropped to the airport. At Cairo our driver was waiting for us. He had good A/C and refreshments on hand for us in a cooler in the car! Was definitely needed in the heat. There was no wait times for our driver throughout the duration of the tour, he was very prompt and ready to collect us after each stop! Our tour guide Ahmed Waheeb came along with us the whole way and was giving us a great insight to Cairo as we zoomed through the crazy roads of Cairo city. First we went to Khan el-Khalili (the famous market). We saw the small colourful streets filled with shops, cafes, restaurants etc. We then headed to the Egyptian Museum. Ahmed told us many interesting facts about the main pieces here. You could spend weeks in the museum here, there‘s A LOT to learn and see for your own eyes here which gratefully our guide did as much as he could with the time we had. After this we were on our way to the Pyramids! Just before we got there we stopped at a buffet restaurant for some lunch which was included in the tour. The food was very good. We then headed up to the Pyramids which were only a few hundred metres from the restaurant. It was crazy to see these live in the flesh and not just through pictures or in a book, we both could not believe our eyes. They are magnificent. Ahmed, our guide had a nice surprise for us too… His photography/videography skills! He captured sensational photos and videos of my boyfriend and I. He captured all of the memories for us! ( I have attatched some of these). We then got to see the Sphinx which was also truly magnificent, and Ahmed told us lots about the history of it and the location. After our few hours in Giza, we were headed back to the airport, we stopped for some shopping in a Papyrus and perfume shop. You don’t have to buy anything but it’s great to learn about. We were shown how the Papyrus is made, and got an Egyptian coffee in the perfume shop! That concluded our tour in Cairo and Giza, overall we had a fantastic day and fantastic experience. I would definitely recommend anyone who is visiting Egypt to do this tour to see the last existing Wonder of The World.

Brilliant trip with excellent tour guide and driver - Amazing trip with FTS travel and especially Mohamed and our driver who made the trip 10x better. Communication was good and they have been very helpful, our admin lady Heba has also been a dream to organise with and has been very helpful for the planning of the trip. We first went to the market in the morning which was a good choice as this is when it was not busy and we preferred this, a private boat cruise on the Nile, then onto the museum and lastly the pyramids and sphinx. Mohamed was very knowledgeable and told us so much more than we would’ve picked up on the information boards in the museum, we had a lot of free time to go around when we visited the different places and didn’t feel rushed. I also want to say that the driver was very helpful and polite, they both really made the trip that much more enjoyable! Cairo is a very busy city and this trip with a private car is the perfect way to enjoy Cairo as it can be quite overwhelming. We where hassled at the pyramids but this was expected, our tour guide Mohamed did all he could to make it as pleasant as possible and he took some really great pictures of us, and knew all the perfect places to get good photos. Overall we were really happy with the trip, Mohamed and the driver (which I can’t remember his name unfortunately!) are a testament to the company, thank you very much to both of them!

Absolutely must do - First of all a massive shout out to Sarwat our tour guide, he absolutely made the trip what it was - fantastic down to earth guy who was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour! I was very happy impressed with the communication from the company! They text you about 6 the previous day to let you know pick up time and text you in the morning: throughout the day to check everything is good! You stop off at a papyrus shop and a perfume shop to see how they are made and our tour guide gave us a Egyptian falafels and advice where to go for the best one photos made sure we weren’t ripped off by anyone as we wanted a camel ride and a few gifts from the stalls. Absolutely amazing, unforgettable day!! Thank you so much FTS travel and Thank you Sarwat who Called me Julia Robert’s all day!! 10/10 Recommend!

From the artificial of Sharm to the deep history of Cairo - Perfectly organized, especially cause we had to go to Luxor but due to flight cancellation GYG has been ready to change program. The tour has been amazing thanks to Abdel our guide with his great Italian and culture. I recommend this tour which includes Old Cairo on foot in the Souk, then the Pyramids and also a breef tour over the Niles River. The Great Egyptian Museum is also with visiting of course. For the records, you must be resilient cause the day is long lasting and you have to wake up early to fly from Sham.

One day in Cairo with Ahmed Waheeb. - Rarely we have come across a tour guide like Ahmed Waheeb. He is a very warm and open personality, speaks fluent English, has a good sense of humour and is extremely well informed about Egypts modern and ancient history, myths, religions and culture. He knows ways to portray it like you were right there in those scenes yourself; surrounded by legendary mythic goddesses, pharaohs, warriors and invaders. The tour Ahmed gave us in the museum was exciting; he has a nice pace and shows you the highlights telling truly interesting new stories about them. And tells it with a lot of passion. One can tell that he is really into the topics. The tour, consisting of a visit to the old city, lunch, a visit to the museum and pyramids of Gizeh, was accustomed to the wishes of the small group we were with. The lunch buffet was of a simple but good quality. Many tourists are dropped off there, but that was okay. The only thing we didn’t like so much were the standard ‘tourist stops’ that we were being dropped off at: a papyrus shop and oil store. As they are part of every tour and are not requested by the participants. If you want to enjoy a tour in Cairo, make sure to book it with Ahmed!

Excellent guide, but poor planing of pick up time for the bus trip in. Poor communication with the trip planer, top guide - The bus trip into Cairo was a night mare! We were picked up 2 hours before originally planned and the were taken to the bus station only 5 min away where we had to wait nearly 2 hours!!! We would have much rather had 2 hours more sleep at our hotel! The bus trip into Cairo was also awful. It was a small bus and very noisy trip where everyone talked loudly and the music was blasting all night to keep the driver awake probably. My 3 kids and I were absolutely exhausted when we finally arrived in Cairo ready for a busy day sightseeing! But then the day turned around because the guide Ahmed who met us and his driver were fantastic 😃. Ahmed was excellent in English and very knowledgeable of all the history of ancient Egypt so the rest of our day was fantastic because of his professionalism and hospitality which is why I still give 4 stars. He held our hand the rest of the day all the way from start to finish when we said goodby at the airport back to Sharm El Sheik. He even sorted out our flight ticket which the company also messed up! We were missing one of our 4 tickets and they misspelled my daughter’s name … but Ahmed sorted everything out as the communication with FTS travel was very poor! If it hadn’t been for Ahmed FTS should have 0 stars for all the bad planning! Ahmed and his driver deserves top rating of 5 stars and saved the day 🤩

Bad comms and timings - The guide was amazing. He was the only good thing of the trip. The communications by FTS were very poor. They didn't tell us about the puck up time until the afternoon before our trip. Pick up 3.45am. By 4.05 we were at the small airport. Flight didn't depart until 5.45am. Once in Cairo, the tour was all done by 3pm but the return flight was not until 10.30pm! Nothing to do unless you want to spend extra $50 per person for a cruise in the Nile.
