- Zhujiajiao Ancient Town - Meet our driver at your hotel lobby. after one hour driving, you will arrive zhujiajiao water village,start your exciting sightseeing tour from this 1700-year old water town. Discover its picturesque canals, rivers, and the large Dian Shan Lake. Take the opportunity to shop, stroll, and explore this beautiful village with a relaxing boat ride,get fantastic photo ops as well–you can even practice your bargaining skills at the local shops.
Try some local snacks or have a nice lunch in a local restaurant beside canal before we departure for highlights of shanghai.
- Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - In the afternoon, you will visit Yuyuan garden,a classic creation of the Ming dynasty, and the ancient Shanghai Old Street, which originated in the Qing dynasty.
(entrance fee: 30rmb in lower season, 40rmb in high season) a Yu Yuan is the most famous garden in Shanghai. It is located in the heart of Shanghai’s Old City, one of the few old tourist places in Shanghai. Close to the gardens is the Shanghai’s bazaar, a great number of small streets and lanes where vendors sell their products and food stuff to the tourists and local people. It is called the Yuyuan Garden - because “Yu” in Chinese means “peace and health”– a place of peace and comfort in the heart of busy Shanghai. Yu Yuan Garden was first built as a private garden created by Pan Yunduan. He used almost 20 years and all of his savings to construct a garden in an attempt to please his parents in their high ages.
- The Bund (Wai Tan) - Continue a visit to the Bund, Shanghai’s picturesque waterfront, well known as the International Architecture Exhibition for its spectacular soaring skyline. From here, enjoy sweeping views of both sides of the Huangpu River.
The Bund in Shanghai was first used when the first British company opened an office there in 1846. The Bund, or the waterfront, is now surrounded by about 50 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance.

Great private driver in Shanghai! - I booked a private driver service with Tom and his colleague Aming for a week while I was in Shanghai for a work trip. Both were extremely friendly and provided amazing service, making the transportation around Shanghai both easy and efficient! I would definitely book with Tom again in the future if I ever visit Shanghai again.

A place worth visiting - Tom is indeed a friendly, patient and knowledgeable tour guide!! Glad we have him during our one day tour at zhujiajiao. Nice scenery, nice souvenir to buy!! Love it

Great trip and nice guide - Everything was good during our stay in Shanghai from airport pick up, day tour and finally the transfer to airport for our flight back. Zhu Jia Jiao is amazing and would highly recommend taking a trip there. Tom's explanation of the place was excellent and he also brought us to a old house formerly owned by a Chinese Official which is worth visiting as well.
Tom is very patience as our group consists of a bunch of shopaholics stopping at literally every other shops in ZJJ. He waited patiently throughout and did not hurry us at all.
He is also very accommodating as we did some last min changes to our itinerary in Shanghai and wanted to do more shopping. In the end we ended quite late for the day and Tom had to work overtime. Lol.
Overall, am glad that we had Tom to bring us around and would definitely recommend him to anyone going to Shanghai.

Short & Fun filled trip - We got to know Tom thru our other guide -
He was able to accommodate & cater to our needs in a short period of time.
Our trip to Shanghai was short but fun filled and pleasure to have Tom as our day tour guide- he is a well mannered guide & able to filled us with lots of information during the road trip.
Patient with our crazy shopping needs along the way too.
Certainly a wonderful way to end our China trip with Tom, he was able to accommodate & cater to our needs in a short period of time

Great time in Zhujiajiao! - Tom was very knowledgeable and easy going, showing us around and telling the most interesting facts in off the path places. It was a great and fun tour and we definitely recommend him as a tour guide! He also helped us with transfers to the airport, which was super helpful.

Excellent!! Highly recommended!! - Got a ride from Pudong Airport to NECC when we arrived. Driver was waiting for us outside customs. We got a ride back to pudong airport from NECC when we left. On time, nice vehicles. The Mercedes V class is super dope! Highly recommend Tom and his team.

Great English speaking tour guide - Tom is a great English speaking tour guide. He could tell the story/history of each tourist attraction very well. For our lunch, he recommended a good restaurant where we had delicious local dishes. He worked with the driver smoothly; dropped off not too far from the attractions and we did not wait so long for pickup. Lastly, he is so kind; enthusiastically explored a way of returning AirPods (that my sister forgot on the van) to Bangkok.

Our guide Tom made all the difference - Tom's English is impeccable. He picked us up at the new cruise terminal in a brand new car. We felt welcome to share his knowledge of Shanghai. We are fascinated by the beauty of China's Water Towns. He recommended to visit an open air museum that is actually a salvaged residence with opulent antiques and dreamy gardens. We saw the cruise ship tour group skipping this treasure. Because we had visited Shanghai before, he was agreeable to modify the itinerary and took us to the Jade Buddha Temple. Tom's tour far surpassed what was offered by the ship and a far better value.

Layover Tour in Shanghai - We had a layover in Shanghai für about aday, arriving early morning and leaving in the evning. Tom picked us (family of 5) up in a car that fit us all, including luggage. We were super excited and so was Tom - he was waiting for us at the Pudong airport, and as kids were hungry after the flight, swiftly adjusted itinerary to first get some real Shanghai dumplings. We managed to see all the important sights and Tom was always looking out for us - he was super nice and when we realized, we had to cut the trip a bit shorter due to kids (especially the 8yo) getting tired, he had absolutely no problem with changing plans. This was an amazing experience and a true private tour where Tom came up with great suggestions but we were still able to give preferences (i.e. he did quickly fit in a tea tasting, as we gelt like it).
I would absolutely recomend such layover tour with Tom, as you get so much out of it, even if its only a short Shanghai experience. Obviously i‘m sure he‘d have had 100s more things to show and share.
