Perfect way to explore Shanghai - Peggy made the site seeing of Shanghai a wonderful experience! She provided great knowledge, history, was very detailed, personable and kind. Being able to cater the tour to our schedule was a major plus, and we were able to see all of the highlights of this amazing city. Lunch was delicious and we were given options to accommodate our dietary preferences, which is always considerate. Peggy was a great photographer capturing timeless photos of us at the Bund (which is captivating!). She also assisted with references for our remaining time in Shanghai, and we would highly recommend this tour in general, and, if possible, ask for Peggy!

Amazing trip around Shanghai with Guide “Alice” - We started the day with our guide “Alice” picking us up at the hotel before starting our day tour in Shanghai. Due to a few repeated sites that we had previously visited days before, Alice and the driver were incredibly flexible in adjusting the schedule where we shifted to visit other new places. The highlight of the tour was the visit to the Jade Buddha temple which was absolutely stunning where Alice also shared with us many historical details and interesting history. For lunch we were taken to the Nanxiang Steamed Bun at Yuyuan Garden, in which we had to come back again for dinner because the Xiang Long Bao was too good and needed a revisit. All in all an amazing day trip around both old and new Shanghai. Highly recommend!!

Another amazing trip with Jenny’s Tour - This is our second time to use Jenny’s Tour. We had a great time last October so decided to bring my mother-in-law to see SH. We only had one day in SH but we were able to see a lot of Shanghai highlights and the whole tour arrangements were impeccable. We had fantastic Peggy as our guide she is super helpful and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Jenny’s Tour.

Fabulous one day private tour of Shanghai. - We took a private Shanghai city tour with Jenny’ China Tours. When I booked the tour , Jenny herself reached out to me to get an idea of what I wanted to do and see. We spoke via WhatsApp , until Jenny had a good idea of our itinerary. Nora was our guide. She was fabulous. We saw so much and learned so much about the city and the Chinese culture. We walked everywhere (that is what we requested). We took the metro (as we requested) when possible. Had a great lunch at local restaurant. Overall such a great experience. Highly recommend this experience .

Absolute recommendation for trips in China - We had booked two trips with Jenny for our Asia cruise. Already in advance the contact was very pleasant and we were given various suggestions. We then decided to go on private tours with a German-speaking guide. Due to a rerouting of our ship we had to change a tour at short notice and unfortunately cancel one altogether. Jenny also handled this after WhatsApp contact totally uncomplicated and professional. After the ship arrived we were welcomed by our guide Greta and a driver. She was totally nice and actually spoke good German. In the short time it showed us some highlights of this great city. Since we were among ourselves, she also responded flexibly to our suggestions, e.g. for a short shopping stop. At lunch we were able to taste many different specialties. At our request, Greta made it possible for us to visit the Shanghai Tower and even accompanied us up high. At the end of this beautiful day we were brought back to the port on time.

Super recommended! - We booked the 1 day guided tour and it was a fantastic tour! Our guide, Peggy, was very knowledgeable, very kind and gave us many tips for the next few days here in Shanghai. We visited the main attractions and ate some top ravioli!! We traveled with our 12 and 5 year olds and the fact of having a spacious and clean car that followed us all the time was a plus because we could leave the extra jackets and also the various souvenirs in the car. Highly recommended tour if you don't want to miss anything of Shanghai!!!

Shanghai old and new. Wonderful day tour with many impressions. - Pick up our tour was the cruise terminal outside Shanghai. Our group size was 10 people. Everything worked out great as discussed. Mr. Xu gave us an entertaining interesting day. We have seen a lot of Shanghai in the short time, the old, like the new Shanghai. Particularly impressive was the observation deck of the Shanghai Tower at an altitude of 562 meters and the associated speed elevators.

A stellar introduction to Shanghai - Over the years I’ve read, listened to, and viewed countless accounts of Shanghai, China’s most populous (and, arguably, diverse) city.  Fortunately, the Chinese government recently debuted a 240 transit visa scheme making travel to China far easier and enticing for foreigners.  Having studied China over the past two years, I couldn't resist the temptation of visiting Shanghai in conjunction with the Chinese Grand Prix. In preparation for my trip to Shanghai, I scoured both the TripAdvisor and (China’s) Trip websites for highly rated personalized tours of Shanghai.  Jenny’s Shanghai Tours (aka Jenny’s China Tours) received exceptionally favorable reviews on both sites and I also felt further encouraged after visiting Jenny’s website.  Having concluded that this was a professional outfit, I booked my “Private Full-Day Tour: Incredible Shanghai Highlights” tour through TripAdvisor and almost immediately received a helpful confirmation directly from Jenny's Tours.  I selected this very reasonably priced personalized tour so that I could target particular sights amongst Shanghai's overwhelming variety of attractions (I'd walked 17 miles on my own the day prior to my tour, exploring the city on foot having devised a route prior to my arrival). I met my guide, Cathy, in the lobby of my hotel and together we crafted an itinerary for the day.  Cathy, who's lived in Shanghai since 2006 and studied English at university, spoke perfect English, was quite familiar with Shanghai, possessed a vast knowledge of Chinese history and culture, was enthusiastic, and had a fine sense of humor. I'd opted for a walking/metro/taxi (versus private car) tour and we set off to visit the spectacular Jade Buddha Temple in the Jing'an neighborhood.  Cathy provided comprehensive and detailed commentary regarding the background and layout of the temple, which I appreciated.  Next we rode the metro to East Nanjing Road, one of China's most famous and busiest streets (pedestrian only), where we enjoyed the bustling atmosphere while walking east to The Bund.  Despite having read extensively about and watched numerous YouTube videos of Shanghai, nothing could adequately prepare me for the breathtaking contrast of the historical architecture to the west (dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries) and the modern Pudong skyline to the east.  Cathy provided plenty of historical commentary as we walked along the historical Bund Promenade adjacent to the Huangpu River.  Once we reached the southern end of the Bund Promenade, we took a taxi to Pudong where I rode the speedy elevator to the 118th floor of the breathtaking Shanghai Tower.  After lunch, we rode the taxi to the impressive Yuyuan Gardens and Bazaar, both of which are worth visiting.  I wanted to purchase a few items for friends/family back home and Cathy took me to local shops where I made some satisfying purchases.  After enjoying some coffee, we explored the Xintiandi neighborhood and visited the Site of the First National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. Throughout the day, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Cathy's perspective on how China and Shanghai, in particular, have changed over the years.  She also provided me with practical local tips which were useful for optimally experiencing the remainder of my trip. Cathy was an ideal guide who left an indelible impression on me.  I unhesitatingly highly recommend Jenny's Tours and I look forward to booking Jenny's tours in both Shanghai and other Chinese cities in the near future.

Spectacular Shanghai - I highly recommend Jenny’s China Tours for a personalized, informative, and awe inspiring tour of Shanghai. I was solo visiting Shanghai for several days. I was met at my hotel by my tour guide Apple and driver Mr Tao. We went to several spectacular water towns known as the Venice of Shanghai, and toured the highlights of Shanghai including places less frequented by the tourists. The meals were excellent with the guidance of Apple and Mr Tao suggesting local authentic dishes. You will not regret hiring Jenny’s China Tours on your visit to Shanghai. Jenny’s China Tours also provides tours of other spectacular cities in China. Have a great informative adventure of China with Jenny’s China Tours.
