Please come here! - This was an amazing experience! My guide was amazing and the team (dogs) were so cute and playful. If you ever saw snow dogs or balto growing up, this should be on your list of things to to in Seward. You won’t regret it!

The Kids Loved It - This is a cute little tour of the Ididarod culture in Alaska then a ride with a dog team on a metal cart. The kids even got to hold some puppies. The kids would tell you this was their favorite thing of the entire vacation.

One of a kind experience - Enjoyable experience for travelers of all ages. Lots of interesting information shared about the work and preparation needed for the Iditarod. The personnel on-site were clearly bonded to the dogs and did a great job introducing us to them, including the newborn pups. There is nothing comparable to hearing the excitement of the dogs as they get hooked up to the cart and feeling the energy that is released once the gate is opened and they start pulling the cart. A must-do for visitors in the Seward area!

Alaska highlight - It's been said a few times, but this was the best thing we did in Alaska. Puppy cuddles, one-on-one time with sled dogs and a fun demo of how the huskies are kitted out for the Iditarod race. Everyone at Seavey's is knowledgeable and fun. The free shuttle offered from Seward made it extra convenient. Just wish I could go back and join the team of mushers!

Fun, fun, fun! - ACTUALLY VISITED JUNE 2019. However, my review was sitting in DRAFTS rather than being posted. My mistake, I guess, but since I took the time to write a review after visiting, I wanted to post it anyway. Here is what I wrote at the time of my visit: The Ididaride Tour consists of several parts. We visited their kennels to meet the dogs and puppies. The race dogs pulled us on a sled with wheels. They were so ready to run! We saw some equipment the racers use and saw the winners trophy. From here we went to Resurrection Roadhouse for a nice lunch which is included in the tour. Then we went to Exit Glacier. You will hike about a mile or so if you want to get to the glacier overlook for some great photos. Part of this is paved and the rest is gravel. After the hike, we then went to see the salmon swimming , saw the Iditarod race Mile 0 marker, and saw a bit of downtown Seward. This was such a fun excursion because you get to do and see things that are not in many places ....I mean, where are you going to see Iditarod champs?? The dogs are well cared for and were so much fun to see and pet. They count the puppies when they put them back .... to make sure no one keeps one of those cute, cute dogs for themselves! Ha! Highly recommend!
