Parque de Maria Luisa - Most of the grounds that were used for the park were formerly the gardens of the Palace of San Telmo. They were donated to the city of Seville in 1893 by the Infanta Luisa Fernanda, Duchess of Montpensier, for use as a public park. In 1914 the architect Aníbal Gonzalez began construction for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, which was held partly within the park. The centre of it is Parque de María Luisa, a ‘Moorish paradisical style’ with a half mile of tiled fountains, pavilions, walls, ponds, benches, and exhedras. There are lush plantings of palms, orange trees, Mediterranean pines, and stylized flower beds with bowers hidden by vines.
The park serves as a botanical garden. Many plant species, native or exotic, are represented, along with educational panels to inform the visitors to the park. Many birds make their home in the park, which is known for its large population of doves .

Great Bike Rental and Guide Service in Seville - We did both a tour and individual rentals. The service was excellent. On the guided bike tour of Seville the guide, Pablo Rincon, was knowledgeable and provided interesting background of history and current events in Seville. The bikes were well maintained and the customer service very accommodating. We would highly recommend Rent a Bike Sevilla for either a guided tour or individual rental. (Or both!)

FIVE STARS. best way to see Seville - These guys are great. First day we took a guided e-bike tour with Pablo Rincon. Pablo is a native of Seville and also a history major at the university. He was an funny and intelligent guide who really made the history come alive. All our equipment worked beautifully and was my favorite activity during our stay. The second day we rented bikes again but chose to be on our own. Once again it was a first rate experience and we were able to see even more of this beautiful city. Five Stars

Great cycling tour - We had a private cycling tour of Seville with Daniel as our guide. We cycled out at 10.00am on E bikes and we’re back just before 1am. We saw all the sites of Seville and Daniel was very knowledgeable about the history of the city. So many beautiful things to see including the spectacular Spanish Square. One of the best things we have done in Seville - definitely recommend this tour and guide.

Fun for all - What a fun way to see so much of Sevilla. Our guide Elena was great and very accommodating for when we needed to take a break. We were able to make some choices of different places to bike to which was perfect for us. Definitely recommend this company for a tour.
