Worth it! - The tour was fantastic! We were the only 2 on the tour which made it so good. The wines were great too and it was good to see some scenery outside of lisbon

Great experience - I enjoyed this tour our driver picked us up from the hotel and drove us to the first Winery. The host showed us how the process goes and we got to taste three wines. Afterward we went to another winery which is the oldest in the country. Here we got history of the winery and learned about their processes. Of course we got a bottle to take back home.

A Great Half-Day Trip - Our driver, Thomas, was very knowledgeable about so much of the Portuguese history. He was very helpful and efficient. The two wineries were each very different, one very rich in history and one rich in art. The wines themselves were mediocre at best. But the wineries themselves made up for what the wine was lacking. I would recommend this half-day trip as a great option for getting out into a very nice area of Portugal, not far from Lisbon. Cheers!

Ruff start great ending - On the first location, Catralvos, beautiful location.
But the service was subpar. We were basically abandoned by our hostess during our tasting. Finally we got up and left. No one even noticed. For the second location, Jose Maria Da Fonseca Rafael was an excellent guide for our tour. Very knowledgeable and great personality. Great storyteller. The place itself is amazing.

Nice way to spend an afternoon - Fernando was an excellent guide and helped me work on my Portuguese a bit. The winery tour at Jose Maria da Fonseca was beautiful and very informative, and the wines were nice. The tour at the other winery felt rushed and was not as well organized. Overall, it was a worthwhile half day tour.

Book early. - So the caveat to this review is that we booked the tour very last minute — the night before. Since it was still online and still bookable, we just assumed we were joining a tour that already existed. It turns out, it was just us, and bc we booked so late, the company was unable to secure reservations with any of the wineries, which meant we couldn't get in for a tasting or tour. Our tour guide was very friendly and tried his best to get us into wineries - it wasn't his fault - but ultimately we only were able to do one tasting, so kind of a bust. Again, not the fault of the tour guide but I do think the trip shouldn't remain posted and available if you can't actually book last minute.

After setting up the tour a few weeks prior I was very disappointed. - The tour never happened due to an illness. I was told I would receive a full refund. Let’s see.
