A wonderful afternoon of Japanese calligraphy. - I had a wonderful time with Maki this afternoon. I leaned an awful lot about Japanese language and Japanese calligraphy. Maki was so helpful and so friendly. This was one of the highlights of my trip to Tokyo. I highly recommend it.

Excellent, Well-Done Class! - We loved this class! Maki had everything laid out for us, drinks for us to try, and explained everything step-by-step. She is a very personable and gracious instructor, and I wish I lived closer because I definitely would take more classes with her. In the meantime, I’ll follow her on IG. Arigato, Maki!

Unmissable Shodo Class near Yoga Stn. - Maki is an effortless, careful and systematic teacher. She makes Shodo look less daunting, and I could get engaged in the process in a way that it felt like I'm painting, with some key rules! Will take her session again and visit soon. Highly recommend!

Great experience and lovely host, Maki - It was a surprise birthday gift for my partner, currently working and living in Tokio, and Maki was lovely and helpful. She prepared something special for the birthday and he enjoyed and learnt so much. I would highly recommend the experience and hope to be able to travel to Japan and enjoy it myself. The most amazing way to start learning calligraphy - Maki sensei makes the experience so interesting!! You never realize the details, the care and the expertise required for shodō until you try it, and her workshop is the perfect way of start in the amazing world of Japanese calligraphy. I really recommend to attend this experience, I promise you will leave with the need of learning more! まき先生、どうもありがとうございました！！

Excellent experience, would absolutely recommend! - My friend and I went to do the calligraphy class and had a fantastic time. Maki was so kind and an excellent teacher! I love the calligraphy I was able to take home and have in my apartment. The location is also very close to Shibuya so it's very easy to get to. I would absolutely go back again with friends!

Maki-Sensei is WONDERFUL! We had a great class! - Maki-Sensei welcomed my friend and me into her home for a wonderful Shudo class. We spent time learning about Japenese characters (Kanji, Hiragana, Katakana) while practicing calligraphy with special brushes, ink and paper. We really enjoyed the opportunity to create our own little pieces of calligraphy art to take home and remember this day. Maki-Sensei is extremely welcoming, kind and knowledgeable about Shudo. We are going to recommend this class to family and friends traveling to Tokyo.
