Seongsan Ilchulbong - (Seongsan Ilchulbong)
Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone, a renowned attraction in Jeju, emerged approximately 5,000 years ago due to a volcanic eruption on the ocean floor. It is particularly celebrated as a prime location for sunrise viewing, ranking among the top ten breathtaking sights on Jeju Island. In addition to its sunrise views, Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone is also a favored spot for trekking. The Seongsan-Ojo Trail links two villages by traversing the peak, while the Jijil Trail provides an intimate view of the UNESCO-designated geopark and Jeju’s local culture. Walking these trails is highly recommended to fully appreciate the area; reaching the summit offers stunning views of the expansive volcanic crater and the surrounding blue ocean. To complete the visit, head to Seongsanpo Port to observe the Haenyeo (female divers) in action. -

Just 20km from Jeju Airport, arriving here feels like entering another world. The tall palm trees at the entrance, the emerald sea contrasting with the white sand, and the clear water with transparent sand and seaweed create a stunning scene. Among Jeju Island’s many beaches, Hyeopjae Beach, Gimnyeong Beach, and Hamdeok Beach are noted for their beautiful sea colors. The clear, shallow waters make it an ideal summer destination for families. The beach’s west side is connected by an overpass, offering the experience of walking on the sea.
