Take pleasure in snorkeling at Silfra with your own personal guide. The temperature of the Silfra Fissure ranges between 2-4 degrees. You get to pick either a drysuit or a wetsuit for an immersive Viking experience. We will be in the pristine water for approximately 30 to 40 minutes. A wetsuit provides more flexibility and enables you to dive, whereas a drysuit offers warmth as you gently drift down the crevice between continents.
- All participants must know how to swim and be comfortable in water
- All participants must be able to communicate in English
- Please note that that dry suits can sometimes feel quite tight and constricting, especially around the neck and wrists
- Minimum age is 12 years, please reach out regarding younger participants & Participants over the age of 65 need to get a physicians approval.
- Be at minimum 150cm (4’9) tall / maximum 200cm (6’7) tall, and be at minimum 50kg (99 lbs) / maximum 120kg (264 lbs)
- Don’t wear glasses, instead bring contact lenses or your own prescription mask (if you have one)
- Recommended to bring a change of clothes (the drysuit has a very small chance of leaking)
- We recommend wearing long thermal underwear and thick wool socks a a base layer under the drysuit
- All participants heights, weights and age must be provided to local operator. If you do not provide at time of booking, please contact supplier immediately after booking to provide this information
- All participants will need to fill out a medical form before participating in the tour. Please find a link to the medical statement on your ticket voucher right after booking the experience to be sure if you qualify.
- Please dress according to weather - no heals or jeans
- Note: Each guide can assist one group of up to six participants at a time. Up to three different groups can be present during this activity.

Please park your car at “Thingvellir P5” and walk 400m back along the road until you reach a smaller car park with all the snorkel and dive. Please be there, ready to meet your guide 15 minutes before your tour is due to begin.

Snorkeling With Family - Dori was fantastic. She was very patient with me (a 59 year old novice). The views underwater were amazing. Do get the dry suits.

Unique and fabulous Icelandic activity! - Fantastic experience… The park was very nice, and the snorkel was a the park was very nice, and the snorkel was a adventure…Beautiful experience and we were incredibly well taken care of by the entire team. Dory was magnificent!

Great day out - Doris was a great guide. She was really good at making sure the equipment was properly fitted, gave a really clear briefing and also made sure we all had a good time.
The snorkelling was fascinating. A really different experience. We all really enjoyed it.

Loved it. - Wilmar was great. Funny and interesting! We really enjoyed doing something so different. Also, having time to walk up to the original parliament was great (not part of the tour).
