Best guides! - Thor was AMAZING. He was so, so kind, knowledgeable, and lighthearted. It was easy to enjoy everything even on cold days and during a windstorm when some activities had to be canceled because Thor kept us entertained. I loved all of the waterfalls and his “second coffee of the day” spots. As a solo traveler, I really bonded with this group! I know Thor’s kindness and humor helped with that bonding between the group. I also really enjoyed our other guides for excursions, including Edgar, Federico, and Sira! They all gave great information, answered questions well, and added some humor to the tour. As for the tour in general, back WARM and WATERPROOF layers. As someone from a cold place, I thought 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit would feel warmer compared to my winters. However, with wind, rain, and cloudy days, everything feels much colder. Also, pack snacks if you don’t want to spend a fortune on overpriced ones from convenience stores. But the tour itself was great! I never would have found some of the hidden gems along the way with my own planning. It was awesome to be guided by a local.

Amazing and greatest trip!! Super emotional at the end!! Will miss Thor and all of you - It definitely surpassed our expectations!! Made sooo many new friends and especially with our guide,Thor Thorthorstiensson!! He showed us around his beautiful country and was extremely patient ti explain around and reply to out questions with soooo much enthusiasm!!! At the end of the 8day tour today,it was extremely emotional until tears were seen because of how much we would miss Thor and the amazing friends that we have made!! Without a doubt, we would see each other again and we have each other's contacts!! Undoubtedly too,we would definitely come back to Iceland and join the Troll expeditions again!!! Absolutely beat guide,Thor Thorstiensson!!

A Wonderful Journey Full of Surprises - Our entire trip was both exciting and unforgettable, not only because of Iceland’s magnificent natural scenery, but also thanks to our friendly and professional guide—Jóhann—who made the whole journey smooth and full of fun. Jóhann didn’t just show us the sights; he clearly and thoughtfully shared the history, culture, geology, and ecology behind each location. This allowed us not only to “see” Iceland, but to gain a deeper understanding of the stories behind the land. His English was natural and fluent, making communication easy for us non-native speakers. Throughout the trip, whether we encountered thick fog or bumpy roads, his driving was steady and the ride always comfortable. Jóhann felt like a reliable friend, accompanying us as we explored Iceland. Besides the stunning landscapes, Troll.is arranged a variety of activities—glacier hiking, exploring the Katla ice cave, horseback riding, and more. The guides for each activity were also very professional and friendly. The whole trip was full of surprises, with great attention to detail and overall quality. Highly recommended!

Unforgettable Iceland with Troll Tours - The Troll Expeditions 8 day Ring Road and Snaefellsnes Peninsula tour of Iceland was an amazing experience, offering the opportunity to see stunning vistas (waterfalls, canyons, mountains, glaciers, beaches, lagoons, geothermal areas, geysers), learn about its history and culture, and participate in exhilarating activities such as a glacier hike, a visit to an ice cave, a descent into a lava tube, horseback riding, a boat ride among chunks of glacial ice, whale watching and a relaxing few hours at a hot spring. Our group consisted of 10 adventurers from various countries and we got along very well. A huge shout-out to our fantastic guide, Johann, who showed us his beautiful homeland with pride and enthusiasm, and shared a lot of interesting information pertaining to each day’s itinerary along the route and at each destination/activity. Our various accommodations were comfortable and included breakfast. I would suggest picking up snacks and light dinner items from grocery stores/gas station stops as not every overnight stay offered food options other than breakfast (which was always delicious and plentiful). Our transportation for the 8 days was a clean, spacious minibus that had strong and reliable wifi. Our guide was an excellent driver and dealt with changing road conditions with confidence. I highly recommend seeing the natural, unspoiled, magnificent country of Iceland with Troll Tours, and specifically with Johann as the guide, on this unforgettable 8 day journey! I have so many amazing memories of this trip and hope to return someday as one visit just isn’t enough!

Enjoyed every minute, easy peasy! - John was an absolutely phenomenal tour guide in Iceland! His infectious humor kept us laughing, while his deep knowledge of Iceland’s geology, history, and hidden gems brought the island to life. He shared fascinating insights and took us to secret spots we’d never have found on our own. John’s warmth and enthusiasm made everyone feel instantly at ease, fostering fast friendships within our group. He went above and beyond to ensure we were happy, creating an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend John for an engaging, fun, and enriching adventure!

Very nice tour guide and experience! - The tour guide, Johann, is amazing. He is always taking care of all of us. He is so funny and nice. When the luggage is too heavy for us to carry, he will help us to do so. I appreciated that he explained the history, story about iceland. Also, he always recommend some good restaurants for us. Those are good memories with him and our group. The view is amazing. Everyone is nice. Hope to see Johann when i go to iceland again. Such a wonderful experience! Support from Hong Kong!

A little “taste” of Iceland which leave you wanting to return for more! - It was a fantastic tour. Many of the activities were challenging with lots of walking, Some paths took us over rocks, other paths were still ice covered. But our guide, Òskar, made a point of assisting at those times. He was knowledgeable about his country and shared fun and fascinating information on all the sights as well as sharing folk tales. Additionally, he made sure to stop regularly for bathroom breaks. Troll’s choice of accommodations was uneven. Some guest houses/hotels were exceptional, i. e. the Hvítá Inn. A couple were disappointing when we didn’t have hot water after a day of tours or heat in the room Breakfasts were good everywhere. I would recommend this tour to get a little “taste” of an amazing country which leaves the tourist with a desire to return again. Thanks Òskar & Trolls.

Amazing experience with amazing guide! - Highly recommended and we had a very knowledgeable tour guide, John who has masters in geography sharing his vast knowldege and seeing iceland through his “eyes”!
