  • King William Historic District - Settled by wealthy German merchants in the late 1800s, San Antonio’s first suburb consists of 25 blocks of historic mansions set amid lovely landscaping.

It was built on the banks of the San Antonio River a few miles to the south of the earlier mission, Mission San Antonio de Valero (the Alamo).
Its founder was the fames Father Antonio Margil de Jesus, a very prominent Franciscan missionary in early Texas.
Mission San Jose is an active parish. Visitors are welcome to attend mass on Sundays.

E-Bike Mission Adventure in San Antonio - I had an amazing experience exploring the mission trail on an E-Bike! Riding an E-Bike for the first time was so much easier than I expected, and it made the tour even more fun and enjoyable. The weather was ideal - sunny but not too hot - and we got to see some breathtaking views as we rode along the river. I would highly recommend Turis Bikes to anyone looking for a unique and exciting experience.

Amazing Experience - I had the best time visiting three different Mission sites in San Antonio with my friends. I learned so much about the history of the city. It was my first time on an E-Bike and it was so easy and fun. The weather was absolutely perfect and we got to ride right next to the river the majority of the time. So relaxing and great way to view the city. Our guide Mayra was kind and so helpful!

Fresh and wonderful - The views were wonderful and the ride was so relaxing. The weather was perfect for it too, the air was cool but the views were Spring in full bloom. I’ll be booking during early Spring more often! I’m grateful for electric bikes that make riding so easy and Mayra leads so well that I never worried, just enjoyed the ride and views. 10/10 recommend booking, it made my day!

A Must Do In San Antonio - Rent Turis Ebikes - Had a wonderful day exploring on Ebikes. We were able to visit 3 Missions on 4 hour rental riding on the Riverwalk. We could not imagine a more fun way to get around. Mayra was so helpful and informative. Wish we were staying longer as we would do this again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonder experience.

Very interesting and very... - Very interesting and very enjoyable ride along the many paths next to the river. The missions are definitely worth the time to see and explore. 4 stars rather than 5 only because the guide could have been more knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.
