Highlights
  • Dr. Jose Rizal Park - This is my favorite viewpoint in the city! From here you can see what makes Seattle such a vibrant city: the Port of Seattle, the Olympic Mountains, Elliott Bay and the downtown core. Perfect spot for your Instagram photos! From here we will travel through some great neighborhoods on our way to the Lake.
  • Lake Washington - We will cruise the shores of Lake Washington and learn about the incredible history of how we “re-plumbed” the lake and what lies beneath the surface.
  • Seward Park - We will take a ride through this incredible park where will will have incredible views of Mt. Rainier (if the mountain is out!) then walk the trail through the old growth forest, one of only 2 stands left in the city! The trail is mostly flat and in the summer is “flip-flop accessible”. We will see what is believed to be the biggest and oldest tree in Seattle and learn why it has survived.
  • Columbia City Theater - We will walk through this lovely, historic neighborhood that most travelers never see! We will get some amazing coffee and finish with some fantastic ice cream! (We are not going to the theater, that’s the only “attraction” in the database in the area. :-)
What's Included
  • Bottled water provided
  • Tea and coffee available
Additional Information

You wouldn’t think it, but nestled in the heart of Seattle you’ll find an ancient forest! Our journey begins at an exceptional viewpoint, ideal for your Instagram content. Next, we’ll soak in the charming views along Lake Washington and delve into the fascinating past of its restructuring, as we make our way to Seward Park. Here, we’re treated to spectacular vistas of Mt. Rainier, provided the weather is clear. The park is a truly special place, harboring one of the two remaining old-growth forests in the city. The pathway cutting through the ancient woodland is flat, less than a mile in length and accommodates ‘flip-flops’. We can explore as much or as little as suits you. Following this, we’ll grab a coffee in the attractive, historic district of Columbia City. As this tour is predominantly on foot, please ensure you wear comfortable footwear and suitable weather attire.

Capping at just 3 people, this intimate tour unveils Seattle’s hidden gems usually unseen by most tourists. It’s the tour I take my own friends and family on when they’re in town! For an exclusive version (1 to 4 people) please reach out at 206-717-5797

Seattle is a beautiful city and this tour shows first hand the true beauty of the outdoor spaces that are Seattle. - The Lake, Old growth trees and beach tour was a lot fun and very interesting. Lynn, our tour guide, did a wonderful job talking about the history of the places we visited. We took an easy hike through a beautiful park on Lake Washington with Douglas Firs over 700 years old. The beach was beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys being outdoors and learning about some cool history of Seattle.

Definitely worth the money! - My friend and I did this tour, and we absolutely loved it. We met her for coffee in the morning, and then off we went on the tour! She was so knowledgable and friendly, and she was also very open to what we wanted to do (even it was a little off-script). She packed a lovely little snack of home-brewed tea, local cheese, crackers, nuts, and fruit. I would definitely do another one her of tours!

A true locals tour!!! - Lynn was awesome!!! Absolutely awesome! We had a great 3 hour tour! Lynn was prompt, on time, and we had a great experience. It was fun to see the neighborhoods of Seattle, take a walk in the old growth forest, see the shores of Lake Washington and Pudget Sound. In between we were given golden nuggets of information to be used that day as well as throughout our stay. We took her advice to use the ferry to see the sound, go to Bainbridge Island and do so for just over $8 per ticket. We had a great time. In addition, Lynn provided us cold bottled water, homemade ice tea (my wife loved it) and we had a local fruit and cheese stash while sitting on the beach and watching for otters and whales. Could not give Lynn enough 5 stars!!!!

Nature walk Galore! - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Lynn. She was punctual, knowledgeable, and her car was immaculate. Not only did we visit parts of Seattle we would never have seen on our own, we learned so much about the history of the city. She was so accommodating that she even directed us toward an awesome chocolate shop, which was not "officially on our itinerary!":) I highly recommend this enriching experience; and this particular tour would be great for kids as well.

Lake, Old Growth Trees und die Beach Tour - If you like quite private tours with only a few People you should do a tour with Lynn. As she is a native Seattle citizen for around 30 years she knows a lot about this city and its inhabitants. She explains everything in a very friendly, entertaining way and has a comprehensive knowledge of the city and places, that sweeping tourists are unlikely to see. On these tours (Lake, Old Growth Trees and Beach Tour) you may get to learn Seattle and nature surrounding Seattle. Together with Lynn we walked along Seattle Beach, had a typical American pick nick there, saw old trees, stones, Blue Herons, seals, hummingbirds and took a lot of amazing nature photos. But the park with really high and old trees is amazing with moss and ferns everywhere. So if you are interested in both, the city of Seattle and surrounding nature your first choice should be a tour of Seattle under the Radar with Lynn. Thank you Lynn for your patience while we taking so many pictures. K. and H.
