Highlights
  • Oxbow Park - Georgetown is one of Seattle’s oldest neighborhoods, and as of now, still retains some of the incredible architecture of early Seattle. We will learn about the amazing (sometimes sordid) history of this neighborhood, taste locally made chocolates, sip beverages, shop for records, comic books, vintage stuff, play pinball, watch glass blowing, view art and explore the funky bits of the city.
  • Alki Beach - Alki Beach is a gem! We will stroll on the beach, taking in fantastic views the ferries, Bainbridge Island and the Olympic Mountains. Always a fun people-watching scene, we will also learn of the history that makes it unique. We may even spot harbor porpoises, seals or orcas! On the way back to downtown, we will have stunning views of the skyline for iconic Instagram posts.

Additional Information

This excursion takes you through a neighborhood rich in art and historic architecture, often overlooked by tourists, offering a rare glimpse of old Seattle that still lingers. It’s like stepping into a time machine! After exploring Georgetown, we move on to the core of West Seattle, popularly known as ‘The Junction’, where we will pop into the city’s best record shop and savor the local charm. Next, we head to Alki Beach, favored by locals for its excellent people-watching, magnificent vistas of Elliott Bay, Bainbridge Island and the Olympic Mountains. We might even catch a glimpse of a seal, a harbor porpoise, a bald eagle or an Orca at Alki - you never can tell. These are my go-to spots when close friends and family members visit, and I’d like to show them off to you.

With a capacity limitation of 3 participants, this tour presents a personalized ‘Seattle’s finest’ experience that takes you off the beaten path. Georgetown, West Seattle and Alki beach which are hidden places to the tourists!! - It was second time I had a tour with Lynn. I had great time in capitol hills so I chose this tour again. Had fantastic time in George town and West Seattle. Those places are hidden ones that tourist do not know well. After I had the tours, I learned a lot about the history of this area and my travel to Seattle became more meaningful. Thank you Lynn and Mr. and Mrs. Plombon from Texas who had tour with me. These two tours are the fantastic moments of my trips in Seattle.

I'd book again in an instant! - Lynn was personally fabulous and professionally? The breadth of her enthusiastic knowledge was very impressive -- anything from advice on great food to shipping on the waterways to the history of architecture to where to get yummy chocolate. You name it, she knew it. Fun, engaging -- right on time (one of my personal favs...) and was obviously greeted in a warm manner by the people she introduced us to. I'd book this again no hesitation. Wonderful way to spend an afternoon and get to know the heart of a city. My 25 year-old loved it and so did we!
