Over the past ten years, this historic district has become the backdrop to the sprawling campuses of tech giants Amazon and Google, leading to a dynamic and appealing street food culture that attracts tech workers and local food lovers alike. Some of the city’s finest eats—ranging from handcrafted sourdough bagels at Rubinstein, to Korean-Hawaiian fusion from Marination, to Rachel’s Ginger Beer’s finely blended drinks, to Mamnoon Street’s Middle Eastern mezze—can be found in this locality. The Eat Seattle tour includes visits to six unique spots in South Lake Union, each offering tastings and tales about their singular brand. As an added bonus, you’ll get a chance to see the exterior of the famed Amazon Spheres. Just remember to bring a hearty appetite and comfortable footwear (you can leave the coding skills at home!)

Fun with plenty of samples - I've enjoyed the coffee tour and also the South lake union tour. Both were so much fun, and the guides were interactive and knowledgeable. I don't normally expect to be full with this type of food tour, but there was plenty of samples on both where I felt fully satisfied. I live in Seattle, but my Eat Seattle tour showed me so many new places to enjoy that are easily missed when you're driving by. I think this is a great activity for both locals and visitors.

10/10 highly recommend - This was such a fun and informational experience. It was happenstance that my partner and I caught a tail end of Chef Eric’s marketplace tour and had to take in his review of the streetfood in South Lake. It was a vibrant, funny, and absolutely delicious experience. Highly recommend if you’re considering doing it to let him be your guide! Not only is he highly knowledgeable about the foods that you sample he also gives a lot of fun history about the area.

Great Tour and Amazing Food in SLU! - We were visiting our daughter in Seattle and were looking for different and unique food options outside of the market. This tour did not disappoint! Chef Eric was our guide and he was fun and knowledgeable about the area and the food. The food was excellent and we did not leave hungry. We definitely found some new favorites that we will be returning to on future visits. Thank you Eric and Eat Seattle! We would highly recommend this tour

The food was amazing. My... - The food was amazing. My favorite place was the Marination, because the flavors were incredibly unique. The commentary on the tour was amazing and helped showcase the Seattle culture. Barcode buildings, hidden amazon logos, very anti-establishment, but I liked that. It gave it a unique Seattle flair.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST!!!! - What can I say?? This experience is a 100/10!!! We took the tour on a Saturday with Chef Sean! He is the ABSOLUTE best!! Even with the market busting with people, he was able to make the tour seem like the market was open just for us. He was fun, informative and loaded full of the 115-year history of the market as well as on the various vendors. We had so much fun, we ended up booking the tour again two days later. This time on a Monday with Chef Eric. Go Team Eric!! We were able to go to a few different vendors this time. Eric provided us with even more interesting market history as well as many culinary recommendations. Honestly, if we were in the city longer, we would have more than likely booked it again. If you are looking for a fun, interactive tour....this is an absolute MUST!!
